|3rd tump of 10 on a 35.4km loop from Braaid to Laxey on a misty/rainy day climbing The Mount and Slieau Chiarn before descending to Foxdale Road and following this to the forest track, just past Eairy ploydwell, I took a footpath North before heading Nw into the heart of the dense plantation. I recorded 224m @ SC 30034 78597, however having looked at my Garmin log, 5 other points recorded 224m as well- very flat summit area! For posterity these points are: SC30032 78603, SC30034 78599, SC30031 78600, SC30029 78618 and SC30035 78623. I headed Nne to arrive at an attractive pond, with signs about nature/questions to stimulate the grey matter, I took a forest track Nw to the forest exit/entrance and then a footpath to Ballacurry Farm, a green lane, Ese and then Nne to arrive on Peel Road, heading for Slieau Ruy....||Dazingdale||20/07/2018|
|From car park at SE of wood. GPS very useful in finding indeterminate summit and returning. Excellent underfoot. Pine needles and moss. Easy to pick way through mature wood.||Campbell Singer||05/08/2015|
|A P72 hill with the summit in a dense area of mature conifers which is very flat and pathless. It is impossible to choose a true summit as Jim Bloomer and Michael Earnshaw agreed.
|densish spruce, network of MTB paths too wiggly to be very useful. from ENE, may be better from SE||RHW||16/05/2010|
