| From Glen Lean. Parked at entrance to forest 094827. The stream-line heading directly to the summit is walkable, albeit steep. First, get to the aqueduct (glen bottom potential to be wet). The ascent stream crosses the aqueduct where there are two footbridges, one each side of the stream. It is easiest to climb for about 20m on the north side of the stream before crossing to the left side. | Found an enjoyable, though slightly longer way up without the need to thrash through fallen trees up steep firebreaks!Take the forest track just past the west dam (where there is good parking) and at around 027818 go up a steep ATV track taking you to open hillside, thereafter follow faint ATV track towards summit. | Follow the pylons to a small rocky step down and turn in to the forest by a fence. Follow boggy path to join firebreak at 08102 83341. This follows a stream and widens. Exit forest at 08246 82716. Easy to summit thereafter. | NormanW | 13/03/2017 |

| From dam carpark up the corridor for small pylons. Find the right fire corridor although a lot of trees have fallen across it,there is away through. Last obstical with three walls seemingly unpenetrable. The way through is top left .duck and you are through to a nice green fire corridor. | From Tarsan east dam, limited parking. A steep and awkward tree fight. Followed a break in the forestry as far as the lateral track shown on the map, but soon after the forestry became craggy and impenetrable. Retreated to track, then east and up a narrow stream break that led as far as a clearing at about 083829 but no higher. Fought my way a short distance eastwards to another stream where another broader clearing led to open hill. Returned to this stream expecting it to get me all the way back down, but lower down it became very steep and overgrown.
