Parked at SJ 05903 23490 and followed marktrengrove's route up Carnedd Das Eithin before continuing across to Ffordd Gefn (tricky bit getting through the narrow strip of woodland in the valley bottom), Ffridd Fach and Croes y Forwyn. Back through the forest paths and road. 8 miles - 3 1/2 hours.clivevilla03/10/2018
From Moel y Belan. Descended to the road again, then taking the lane north to Ty-llwyd. Then onwards up Cwm Cynon past a small lake to the summit on the northern end of the ridge. Onwards to Croes y Forwyn. With AC.Man of Kernow123/02/2018

Circuit from Lake Vyrnwy over Croes y Forwen then Ffridd Fach returning by the valley of Afon y Dolau Gwynion (difficult to follow the path in summer veg). Little frequented but someone had been to these tops v recently - must be a bagger?summitsup13/07/2014
from Ty brith, Hirnant as a loop up cyrniau then along ffordd gefn, fridd fach & croes y forwyn.open moor a little boggy but wonderful open space. summit has a number of knolls with jagged rocks. a splendid place. view to Aran nice also c.idris & plynlimon.stig_nest08/08/2013
