The 1st of five Tu4 on an anticlockwise circuit of the hills N. of Rhiwlas, finishing on Pen-y-gwely. Easy parking on grass verge W. of Llechrydau at 2196 3414 - Along road to stile just beyond Springhill Farm - Over stile & up RoW to another stile by summit boulder. Continued to Foel Wylfa. from road to north(good parking 200 metres E of end of forest opposite fp) ,followed footpath at edge of forest.Rob5030/12/2018
Easy walk from Spring Hill farm/bunk barn up side of horsey fields. The small quartz rocks about 30-40m S from official summit looked just as high.Aye Jimmy01/04/2018
Spring hill's moist summit proved mildly facile. Horses - force Dogger bank - appeared jovial. Simple horsey track up from Springhill farm. With nwormgage.tumpawumpa13/08/2017
Have been ferried past said tump many times, never blown away by it, such is its inoccuousness. A pleasant enough place to be. Avec tumpawumpa.nwormgage13/08/2017

From north. Lacerated hand crossing bw fence, then realised I had been on the right side for the summit anyway.ngthack12/03/2017
From SJ 20511 35458. First to Pant Hill via lane, bridlewaay and footpath then on to Spring Hill via the woods above Bryn. Useful permitted (Ty Gofal) path from the top, beside the fence, back to the lane at SJ 20556 35148.summitsup13/10/2015
Real name 'Gwastad Mawr'. Parked at Pont y Meibion on narrow lane off B4500 in Ceiriog Valley. There is room for one car neatly tucked in before the bridge by field gate at SJ 19552 35134. Took riverside path downstream for about 100m, then RoW on track which winds up escarpment to Caedicws Farm (many gates!). Then up to lane and south to Spring Hill Farm (has a bunkhouse), and RoW north by paddock to forest edge - one easy electric fence to tackle to get to summit boulder. To descend, headed back to lane, and after survey of summit and bwlch of Pen y Gwely, took UC Way down past Cwmclyd back to car. With MP on an evening walk/survey.marktrengove29/04/2015
