From road, ascended grassy sheep pasture to E of fence. HP appeared to be by very large boulder next to sheep pen with sheep dip. Also visited E end of contour ring but think it's probably lower. Wintry day. From Y Foel and onto Craigg y Ddualt. | Denise | 05/01/2022 |
The grassy track from road currently requires hurdling skills, field much easier. Huge boulder in corner of field W of the sheep pens is now the 'natural' un-natural high point. We also follow the fence line E to the other corner of the field which looks as high but Abney suggests just lower. | RichardM | 05/01/2022 |
Easy parking by the road junction, then a quick 5 minute walk alongside the edge of the field to the top corner. HP just across the fence junction at the top. (S) | silveracorn_alan | 11/08/2021 |
From South along field edge to sheep pens at top. Quick up and down. | PeterD | 18/06/2021 |

Easy parking, easy stroll | Colin Crawford | 01/04/2019 |
Parked on wide verge by junction at 215394 - N along edge of field to small summit mound on W. side of sheep pens. Along the way, crossed a few bits of easily crossed fencing fencing. (S) | gerrybowes | 03/01/2019 |
From road to S and slightly E along fence-line then across field to sheep pens at corner. There's a green lane leading directly back to road from here, couple of gates at bottom. | Aye Jimmy | 20/02/2018 |
from road to south | Rob50 | 27/08/2017 |
Myfanwy Angharad ab Jones told me about this hill. Sheep grunted, sunshine's light beat down precipatively over this pleasant green land. Perpendicular to Llangollen, adjacent to Froncysyllte. Nicer to be here than Plas Crogen. Up for consideration again. With nwormgage. | tumpawumpa | 13/08/2017 |
Rated exquisite. Peaceful and sheepy. The magnificence of the Dee valley aboundeth. With tumpywumpy. | nwormgage | 13/08/2017 |
From road to south like others. Visited ground to east as well. | Alan Caine | 12/08/2017 |

Not convinced its the rocky lump behind the sheepfold.
Looking over to finger farm masts the next field seems to crown higher than the fold. Visited this spot and it looks higher when looking back to the fold. Visited both so I'm alright Jack! Love the views up here. | stig_nest | 17/04/2016 |
Easy bag from gateway to the south. | clivevilla | 24/02/2016 |
Parked in main car park in Llangollen at SJ 21418 41966 (free after 17:00 hrs). Took lanes south out of town, then steeply uphill by stony green lane (Allt y Badi) up to Finger Farm. Then took lane east for 1km past a small quarry. An inset gate gave access to sheep pasture. Followed fence up north to another gate - summit is a small mound in field corner just west of a corrugated iron sheepfold. Walk continued to Craig-y-dduallt. With MP on an evening walk/Trimble survey. | Man of Kernow1 | 26/06/2015 |
Climbed as part of an 8 mile circular from Llangollen visiting Plas Newydd and then going up Allt Y Gwernant, continuing on a fp beside Gwernant Wood (felled at the time)arriving at a minor road and the Llwybr Ceirog trail. At a Jct where one part of the trail turns South I climbed into the field and followed the Westernmost edge, climbing over again at the corner to access the summit. The highest point is approx Grid ref SJ214 396.
Returned to the track and then right at Alt Y Badi; next hill Barber's Hill. | Dazingdale | 03/05/2014 |
