Grassy Mound in corner of field, possibly old tumulus seems highest? Trig and reservoir are the other side of bw fence with adjacent mound which we believe is lower. Grey damp and hazy. Approach from west after Moel Unben. Onto Frith Bedwyn. | Denise | 19/11/2023 |
Morning quickie. Looking forward to Lord Williams of Oystermouth at St Asaph Cathedral later. | David Bremner | 07/11/2022 |
As others, easy verge parking at 922666 - Over stile, up RoW alongside Fach to gate & then along hedge line to gate - A short climb to trig point & nearby mound which is higher. | gerrybowes | 27/04/2022 |
Parked at Fach and then fields to summit. Knoll bagged as well. | Alan Caine | 09/01/2022 |
Moel Unben, Ffrith Bedwyn, Pen y Mwdwl & Moel Emwnt. Originally planned to do Tre-pys-llygod summits too but road was closed from Llansannan heading west. Parked close to track for Moel Unben on grass at SH 91213 67532. Out and back up higher track to Moel Unben then down road to SW over cattle grid and on to lower slopes of Ffrith Bedwyn through gate on farm access track point 272m. Over summit and roughly followed ROW to ridge top and Pen y Mwdwl then to the end at Moel Emwnt - multiple BWF crossings and calves about. Return same way but traversing under summits. Great panoramic views, good for sunrises. | jacobrichmond | 17/10/2020 |
Up from SE as others. The mound is obviously higher and could be natural. | clivevilla | 04/12/2019 |
FP by Fach then hedge line,as others | Rob50 | 19/05/2019 |
Up field from gate to SE. Trig by fence but mound 15m NNW in next field seems higher - natural or residue pile from underground reservoir nearby? | Aye Jimmy | 01/07/2018 |
