|From the village to north- very wet today but easy paths up through woods||Mark Sims||11/06/2019|
|Track starts from SJ 2022 6099 - sign to Miners Arms CP. Parking opposite. Look out for well-hidden stile in thick well-manicured gap in hedge (just before buildings). Wood very easy going - deciduous trees - unusual||carole engel||22/11/2018|
|From N, good parking just below 'Maeshafn' road sign at W end of village. Footpath for 200m or so then up slope to higher paths that lead to summit, an untidy pile of mossy rocks.||Aye Jimmy||07/01/2018|
|On circular walk from Gwernymynydd. Did the circuit of the quarry, as marktrengove. Noticed a cairn by the track close to the mossy pile of rocks. Useful.
Also found the false top, mentioned by GordonAdshead, on the way down to Maeshafn. Interesting walk.||Richard Gunn||21/09/2016|
|Continuation of walk from Moel Findeg. Took paths down to Maeshafn, then trail south on east side of quarry. Then RoW north on west side of quarry, diverting to climb to summit. To return headed north into Maeshafn, then trail north to Colomendy, then RoWs through pasture back to Gwernymynydd. Solo.||Man of Kernow1||26/03/2016|
|Parked at the large layby near Llanferres. The 25k map was invaluable in finding the tracks and paths in the forest.||Sprog||12/09/2015|
|Parked just W of high point on road to N at start of excellent ancient track through woods. A small track leads off left to a false top 100m N of pile of mossy rocks, which does not look much visited.||GordonAdshead||10/09/2015|
|From N, Maeshafn, lane S past pub, FP into wood signed W just before last cottage. Followed main track down: rejoins lane at a surprising place.||RHW||12/07/2014|
