| From SE, parked at jn SW of Ffridd, nr dis sawmill, but would seem ok to drive forest tk further, big layby with Smudge route (long-dead MTB descent) starting just below, leading along ridge over foretump to Gartheiniog summit, small clearing in windthrow SH 81568 11884. Beeline descent starts well but awkward windthrow lower down. Via Maes-y-gamfa and RoW to Foel-y-Fridd, SH 83199 11705, outcrop, directish pasture descent SW to car. 2hrs, mild grey morning. | RHW | 08/10/2016 |
