| From lay-by in the Pass of Aberglaslyn at SH 59262 46847. Walked down the road, carefully, to the bridge, then round to Nantmor. Then path up Cwm Bychan, nearly to the bwlch, diverting on a minor path up onto the ridge and up to the unmarked summit of Grib Ddu. Then headed SSW, into the cwm, and up to the unmarked summit of Craig y Llan. Then steep rugged descent NNW to Beddgelert, and back by the river and A498 to the car. | Easter Saturday trip with Balmy Gang minus 1 (RJK was ill). Straightforward climb up from Llyn Dinas and across top past the old copper mine. However could not find path down to Bedgellert and ended up descending left of Craig y Llan, through bracken, brambles, saplings and dead ferns. It was very tricky. Especially concerned as 5 young girls were also lost and decided to follow us on the basis that we 'looked professional' !! How deceptive appearances can be ! | Made a deliberate effort to visit the two summits today, walking via Aberglaslyn and Beddgelert, steeply up Mynydd Sygun (Craig y Llan) and on the twisting, heathery ridge to Sygun Fawr (Grib Ddu) before returning to Nantmor via Cwm Bychan.
