Parked at 90580 71841, along roller coaster bw to gate and up pasture. | clivevilla | 31/01/2023 |
Parked to WNW at side of bridleway at SH 9057 7183 - Along bridleway, down to gate at 9134 7153 & then up to NW top - Dropped down to gate at 9168 7126 & up to summit by by concrete foundations of former pylon. | gerrybowes | 20/04/2022 |
Duh (dir), like a poor workperson blaming their tools my satnav failed to take to the obvious start point near the farm. Therefore tackled this by the slightly longer route from SH90570 71837. Perfectly easy and pleasant path that avoids running the gauntlet of the farm on looks like it doesn't have a straightforward RoW marked on the map. Incongruent summit and what gorse? | Martin R | 03/04/2022 |
2nd attempt from Llanfair Talhaearn. From road , steep at start, found way through crops to top! amazing views, whole Snowdonia range from Siabod , Snowdon to Tal y Fan, Denbigh Moors, Clwydians, Arenigs, Irish Sea,and all the lovely hills south of Abergele | mattcymru | 14/04/2020 |
1st Attempt- up from Betws yn Rhos then down horse track. Started to go towards summit but crops- dad decided best not to go through them. Will attempt from Llanfair side soon!! | mattcymru | 09/04/2020 |
Solo plod via a bridleway from the east. easy | Shutterlag | 30/05/2019 |
Parked track junction SH 9057 7184. BW to open access land. Feint trod/path thru' bracken at SH 91454 71515 leads to alternative summit at SH 91477 71342 avoiding any serious gorse. GPS suggests lower than official summit at SH 91597 71235 | carole engel | 18/11/2018 |
From the E, tracks to Ty'n y-ffrith then lane behind house to pastures. Cross these and up to stile, over this then R for short way. Rocky ridge on L leads to top. | Aye Jimmy | 29/06/2018 |

Parked in the community hall car park in Betws-yn-Rhos (SH 90566 73610) and took the lane south steeply to the start of the byway to Bryn-ffynon. Continued past the farmhouse south to a track junction, over a stile and then a bracken-thrash (relieved by sheep tracks) up to the NW top and then the summit. On return took bridleway NW to the lane, following it south to rejoin my outward route. Solo nordic walk. | Man of Kernow1 | 30/07/2017 |
Bridleway to open access land and find a way through the gorse. | jrj | 17/10/2016 |
Managed to turn round and park at the road end to the N. Expected the worst but the gorse and bracken had been mostly mowed. | GordonAdshead | 28/10/2015 |
From WNW. Odd encounter at start with old chap whose 2 dogs did their best to warn me off the right of way. Odd and unwelcome. Gone when I got back to car. | RHW | 12/07/2014 |
