Here for the trigpoint. TP:UK log:

6th of the 8 I have left on Islay. Parked on grass at NR 4626 5364. Then took logging track which doesn't show on any maps to fence at NR 45164 54265. Followed path up the shoulder to NR 4425 5528 and then the obvious path across to the trig pillar, at bit up and down in places and seemed to take a while, very windy once on the ridge. Glad of shelter at the trig. | thejackrustles | 15/05/2023 |
Following Beinn Bhan backpack port to port.. onto Sgorr nam Faoileann. | N.Morters | 07/04/2023 |
From Claggain. Good parking at end of track 462 537. Follow track to metal gate on R at 455 541. Take faint path up hill, go through deer gate and pick up path just beyond to climb ridge. | SteveG | 16/06/2022 |
Beinn na Caillich, Glas Bheinn and Beinn Bheiger. Starting at Claggain Bay and along the coast before ascending to Beinn na Caillich. Except for the last 2 miles descending from Beinn Bheiger, wall to wall tumps, this was one of the best walks I've ever done. | tsharp | 24/05/2022 |
Cycled up the good track past Kynagarry to the footbridge. Deer trods to the ridge W of Loch a' Mhuillin-ghaoithe then short heather and grass to the nice quartzite summit. | PeteN | 17/05/2022 |

From road end at Ardtalla. New birch plantation was slightly boggy, but a straightforward ascent with lovely views. 10.5 km round trip | Rockdoctor | 06/05/2022 |
From car park at end of road at Claggan Bay. Back down road to first track on right just before forestry. Followed this circuitous path, first left then right, all the way to large gate. Once on open ground picked up ATV track on to south ridge. | KeithByTheC | 27/04/2022 |

With a group of 11 other baggers from RHSoc, 16km linear walk from McArthur's Head to road end near Ardtalla, taking in Beinn na Caillich, Sgorr nam Faoileann, Glas Bheinn & Beinn Bheigier. | Tony J | 02/04/2022 |
From McArthur's Head lighthouse with eleven other hill walkers. Beinn na Caillich, Sgurr nam Faoileann, Glas Bheinn & Beinn Bheigier. Good weather, excellent hills, super day out. (13km, 910m). | ger | 02/04/2022 |

A stunning walk from Claggain. Out to Proaig along the coast track, rather soggy in places but views compensate. Easy walk up Glas Bheinn on ATV track to steeper ground, then easy walking on steep tundra. Fabulous views all the way. Along the ridge to Beinn Bheigier (steep climb) then a glorious walk down along the ridge, intermittent path, then head S past a cairn to find that a perfect path appears down the steep ground on the crest of the ridge, joins ATV track to gate, then unmapped track goes to road. Don't do as I did and shortcut the track through the plantation, vile tussocks. | Gill | 02/04/2022 |
RH Soc Islay meet. | thekirkie pirate | 02/04/2022 |
With Dave Roeder - round of the three SE Islay Marilyns on a fine day during the RHS Islay weekend. At 8:05 took the track from Cluanach to the bridge at 306582. Kept low as far as the base of the NW ridge and thence to the summit (10:20) from which cloud had conveniently cleared. Descended to the col and followed the long ridge north over Glas Bheinn (12:00) to the final steep ascent to Sgorr nam Faoileann (13:10). From there, following a long dry spell and with short vegetation elected to descend the W ridge direct to the road at Cattadale; there was a faint path for the last 2k S of a fence. Finished 15:35. Met various other RHS parties doing other variations of the route. Good day. | dbb | 02/04/2022 |
Last of 3 Marilyns from McArthurs Head. Headed SE to road end where return vehicles were parked. Rough going lower down but a winding road track provides relief back to the road. PM, CM, Ger, Jill R, Steve C, Dave G, Rhona, Dangerous Dave, Roland S, Tony J and Kathy and David Duvall. Great trip and day in the hills. | bolton | 02/04/2022 |

From the top of Glas Beinn made my way S to the col - would recommend keeping to the high ground as much as possible. Then headed SW to the ridge, after which I turned left to approach the summit from the WNW. Strong wind and torrential rain on top. Then back down the same way as far as the ridge, continuing along it to eventually reach the footbridge at NR 406 581. | paulhilder | 15/08/2021 |
Parked at end of road by Claggain Bay. Wide track to gate in deer fence. Grassy track to the SE Top. Lovely broad ridge to trig. Back same way. With Gavin. | Dangerous Dave | 04/08/2021 |

30th Wedding Anniversary walk on a wonderfully sunny and breezy day. Up the track from Kynagarry to a bridge over the Kilennan River. Then pretty much a beeline across heather, grass and marsh to the impressive rocky summit of Beinn Bheigier. Northwards between scree to Am Mam and the multi-summited Glas Bheinn. Plenty of time left and ace conditions so we wandered over to the rounded Beinn na Caillich, affording superb views up the Sound of Islay and over to the Paps of Jura, as well as back to the Marilyn's completed. Deer tracks made contouring to the Sgorr nam Faoileann beallach straightforward, from where it is an easy climb to the top. Back to the road over pathless moorland, joining it near Barr, then a pleasant stroll to the camper van and cold beers. 6.15hrs. | summitter | 11/05/2021 |

Run straight up and down from Cluanach. | quadbarrel | 15/10/2018 |
From Claggain Bay. Used vehicle track to just beyond upper deer fence. Tiny cairn just after marks start of walkers path which goes all the way to the ridge if you concentrate! | Crib Goch | 04/09/2018 |
From Claggain Bay I had been told the forestry track took me to the ridge but in the event it meandered around and gave up at 120m. From there grassy tracks easily followed to ridge. Further than it seems on map- total walk 12.2k. | NormanW | 27/08/2018 |
From Glas Bheinn, a pleasant stroll, then got into a good rhythm up the steep grassy slope between scree and rocks to the summit. Unexpectedly met a dog walker at the top. Then a long plod along deer paths and ATV tracks north west to the car near Cattadale. Nearly impaled a dozy, coiled up adder with my walking pole. | Owen B | 25/08/2018 |

On an 3 day Ardbeg to Port Askaig traverse. | Chris Peart | 26/06/2018 |
Ninth hill of the day and getting weary now, having walked from Ardbeg. I had a long descent to Proaig bothy, not much enjoyed given the deep summer vegetation | Colin Crawford | 25/06/2018 |

Parked at Cluanach and walked to end of track. Crossed footbridge and headed up Beinn Bheiger. Headed north over Glas Bheinn and on to Sgorr nam Faoileann. Returned to track by contouring across rough ground. Followed advice of PGCE below and kept high to avoid worst of the boggy ground. | wozzat | 10/05/2018 |
From Cluanach, to end of track. Then Beinn Bheigier, Glas Bheinn and Sgorr nam Faoileann. Returned to east end of track via a high level route and kept fairly dry feet. | PGCE | 24/04/2018 |
