from betsi initially sarn helen to track junction sh 7754 5564 then south on faint track to path junction sh 77355512 bearing sw through difficult thick pine 280 ring contour has couple possible high points but 77292 55016 looked best return to 77355512 then north west on faint path to track and return to sarn helenunderhill28/12/2023
Roadside parking by bus stop & start of the Jubilee Path at SH 7886 5666 - Up path to junction with forest track at 784559, turned right & along track to junction with RoW at 779558 - Grassy RoW through felled area & then SSW on track to junction with RoW at 776549 - NW on indistinct RoW through a rough felled area into forest & from high point of RoW headed SSW/SW to summit. A bit of a struggle in places & needed to bypass some windfall, but not too bad; similar to a number of other tops in Gwydir Forest. Back to RoW, headed NNW to track & then NNW down waymarked RoW to join Sarn Helen & a quick descent on the stone track to join A5 opposite Miners Bridge path. Would have been a much quicker ascent route.gerrybowes12/02/2023

11.40 easy track to about 250metres NW of summit. In at 771551 then hideous pushing through forest with unexpectedly undulating & confusing terrain, mossy n heathery base often housing old bits of branch hollows underneath, or water and even occasional one & half metre drops if not hyper careful, despite following location arrow on my phone ON TPUK 1.25k map. Oh and also gorse and some wind blown trees..out ssw to 772 548. All pretty hideous. Madness'R Us. Marginally preferable to come in from SSW to it.vegibagger06/12/2019
Me and Alf via tour of Llyn Elsi. A horrible 150 or so metres from footpath - many fallen trees and various obstacles.jrj20/12/2017
May be easier from N side. From ssw as before, followed mostly well marked paths til NE of summit then SW and SE passing several promising summits (SH 77261 55138, SH 77248 55101, SH 77309 55085) to reach true hp exactly where expected from 25k map, flattish dome SH 77293 55016. Tried beeline back to path but too dense, returned NE to path. My 2nd attempt, more focused this time as I need it to finish Conwy:-)RHW18/02/2017
Targeted this en route to Mynydd Cribau but summer combination of young spruce, bracken, bramble and gorse didn't appeal. Mapped footpath from SSW is good, though, with feasible parking on N verge. No feasible parking on yellow road from SW to Rhiw Goch.RHW13/07/2014
