Drove dirt road ~1km past Bunnahabhain Distillery to park just short of covered reservoir (NR 4093 7341). A round of 6 hills, Margadale Hill, the two Creagan Corr's and Sgarbh Dubh first, then across to here approaching from the SW end of the ridge to ensure a traverse. On to the NE Top. | jonglew | 13/05/2022 |
I think Marilyn baggers should climb the deleted hills just out of respect! Came over from Creagan Corr. Great hill too! Solo. | Dangerous Dave | 01/04/2022 |
Across the footbridge and along the grass track that makes the ascent of Sgarbh Breac a doddle, then SW across tussocky grass and minor peat hags to Margadale Hill. A pretty direct line to the south shore of Loch Smigeadail, then contoured around to reach the southern slope of Sgarbh Dubh, up which it is easily climbed. We doubled back to bag the two featureless summits of Creagan Corr before heading over to Giur-bheinn's NE top and for more majestic main summit. Once round Loch Guir-bheinn Deana spied a large gate along the forestry fence line, which once duly climbed through/over gave a grassy/sphagnum descent to a stone track leading back to Bunnahabhain. 5hrs. | summitter | 14/05/2021 |
As others followed forest track to almost end and then up a very wet ATV track to gate. Again picked up the ATV track for a short distance from gate and then straight up to summit. On way down paid a call on Iain at very ruined shepherd's cottage where he welcomes visitors. | Crumblie2 | 04/05/2021 |
From the bend above the distillery through the forest then up a firebreak with atv tracks to gate on to hill. Rough terrain thereafter but not far. Aware that there was a stalking party around. | NormanW | 29/08/2018 |

Via Sgarbh Breac from Bunnahabhan. Walked over Margadale Hill (trying to avoid worst of the boggy ground). Returned to Bunnahabhan via forest track which is accessed via very wet and muddy firebreak. | wozzat | 08/05/2018 |

Giur-Bheinn & Sgarbh Dubh from the distillery. | Chris Peart | 01/04/2018 |
Parked at start of track from distillery, easily located, not driveable, nor even cycleable, Warning sign of stalking Aug-Jan and to check with gamekeeper. All quiet today. Where track forks, I chose to go left, but don't go to end of track like I did - there's only a horrendous boggy cul-de-sac. Instead, take wide firebreak on the right that leads to open hillside via deer fence. Thereafter summit easily attained and onwards to Scarb Breac. | AndrewFinnimore | 09/08/2017 |
Bike to road end from Bunnahabhain followed by short squelchy ride bash to gate in forest fence. Easy going across the moorland. | fasgadh | 04/04/2016 |
round of giur bheinn and sgarbh breac from the distillery. | robertphillips | 21/08/2015 |
Through the trees first. Boggy, hot and a lot of flies. With Alistair. And end of track go right. | tallblond | 19/07/2015 |
With Mora, from the Bunnahabhain village. | BLACKHILL | 04/04/2014 |
from distillery - there is a reasonably obvious series of rides through forest from end of path on 390724. good viewpoint. 1 other Hump and Marilyn that day. | Thearlaichdubh | 25/06/2013 |
From distillery, track west to forest. Right branch past ruin and to end. Any no. of rides led to gate in deer fence and hillside. Over two ridges nd lochn to summit. No longer an ugly deer head on top! Met lionel and Susan en route. On to Sgarbh Breac w Jenx, 1hr transit contou ring at 180m | nordicstar | 11/06/2012 |

On contour to right to keep well above forest and onto outlier. Steep grass and spongy rushy runs to top at 14.20. 10 1/2 miles; 6 hrs at car. Islay dance weekend till gone midnight. | arranc | 30/04/2005 |
