Parked on verge near petrol station to south, up road then FP to top with flag and bench. | PeterD | 17/10/2022 |
A circular walk on ROWs and minor roads starting from the minor road to the North of the hill. | johnbarnard25 | 16/09/2022 |
Here in a wet and gusty squall. Bench and nearby damaged topograph. Good viewpoint. | Denise | 11/04/2022 |
Path crosses summit which feels to be a lumpy area of grassed over mine workings. Good views. In field to N is a stone built base for a topograph but a cryptic sign implies it was intended for, but not permitted on the summit. Sadly the topograph itself is missing. | RichardM | 10/04/2022 |
Parked in the small car park in Trelawnyd at SJ 0907 7982 & up Gop Hill. From Gop Hill, road walk to start of RoW to SW, over stile & up RoW to summit & wood/wrought iron bench. Headed back to village on RoW across fields; this emerges on Chapel Street, just below the car park. After RoW crosses to S. side of fence, the ground was churned up by horses, but OK as reasonably dry. | gerrybowes | 08/04/2022 |
From Gop Hill. Along minor roads and up RoW from ssw. Welcome bench at summit! | KeithByTheC | 04/03/2022 |
2/2 Gop Hill and then on to Bryn yr Odyn from the little car park in Trelawynd. Very easy little walk and interesting especially the second oldest mound in Britain on first hill. | nickywood1 | 31/10/2021 |
Prestatyn - Y Foel - Marian Ffrith - Mynydd y Cwm - Gop Hill - Bryn-yr-odyn - St Elmo's Summer House - Prestatyn. | Mark Jackson | 15/05/2021 |
Parked at impressive entrance to reservoir to the east. Only parking available on narrow lane and conveniently opposite start of fp. Fp a bit wayward in places. | Campbell Singer | 06/11/2019 |

With Catman. | oscarrosie | 18/09/2019 |
From road North, following footpath that heads East first and then West past farmhouse. Path is extremely muddy on approach to summit! | JamesD1972 | 14/03/2019 |
Parking: For Gop Hill & Bryn-yr-Odyn Trelawnyd village carpark (free) SJ 09076 79825. | David Evans | 04/02/2018 |
Intricate topograph to NE of summit. No views today | carole engel | 02/12/2017 |
Parked to ENE at start of f/p, OK at first then lost the path and went through the ghastly mud. Coming back, passed the indicator and f/p is easier to follow. | Aye Jimmy | 29/11/2017 |
Me and Alf.Don't bother heading for houses just aim straight for the corner of the field to join Clwydian Way by steep hill | jrj | 25/01/2017 |
From Gop Hill and used FP easily from WSW. Tried to use path shown on map running back SW to village, but it just stops at the back gardens and doesn't continue ! Someone from Italy has painted the summit bench ? | Mark Sims | 23/01/2017 |
On walk with Holywell Ramblers from Trelawnyd. Excellent viewpoint but hazy on the day, | JohnIvor | 04/01/2017 |
Parked on the verge opposite the fp from the SW. It's not really wide enough but I was only there about 10 minutes. | clivevilla | 02/01/2017 |
A pleasant tour of St Elmo's Summer House, Bryn-yr-odyn and Gop Hill (respectively) from Prestatyn Rail Station. | summitsup | 31/03/2016 |
From NE, desperately muddy cattle-trashed approach. Nice scenic spot, my final Flint tump. | RHW | 19/12/2015 |
Roadside bagging with Dugswell. | Smudge | 13/11/2015 |
Parked on minor road to the ENE then used muddy footpath towards summit with Smudge. | Dugswell2 | 13/11/2015 |
Short walk from NE. Impressive viewfinder close to summit. | RobertP | 09/08/2015 |
Continuation of walk from Gop Hill (Bryn Gop). Circumnavigated Bryn Gop back to lane on eastern side. Followed this north-east over crossroads, and then took Pilgrims' Way up to Tyddyn Uchaf farm. Then by muddy RoW on tracks to fine viewfinder and summit. Descended to Brynteryn and then lane NNW and RoW through fields and housing estate back to car park in Trelawnyd. | Man of Kernow1 | 11/03/2014 |
Following on from the summit at St. Elmo's summer house i followed the Clwydian to a minor road at SJ094812. I took the road opposite and then the footpath at SJ095809. This meets another minor road (between Trelawnyd and Llanasa). I turned right and climbed the stile at the end of the field that leads to a track. I turned right and followed footpath signs to take me to the summit. There is a viewfinder set back from the summit. It is absolutely loaded with information. You can beautiful landscapes from here. There is a bench too! | Dazingdale | 26/10/2013 |
