From lay-by. A very cow-hooved hillside. Bracken dead, so easy if you don't trip up in a hoof mark.Martin R10/12/2023
Far too much bracken to go straight up from the layby on main road. Ended up going around the hill on newish quarry access road to E side, then up via old quarries and one fence to summit. Descend alongside fence NNE, the zig-zag down through bracken to layby.Minto20/07/2023
Parked in large lay-by on main road and pretty well straight up. Had lunch in the sun behind the church. idyllic spot.Campbell Singer25/04/2022
Circular walk from large lay-by near Pistyll. This is by a RoW sign, but any path has been obilterated by a bulldozed road and heavy cattle trampling. We went up by a wall just E of a long disused quarry. From summit, we went down to the track which runs all the way back to the layby but this route was far from obvious, though fence crossings were by gates or easily over at junctions. More like puzzle solving than going for a walkpwheeler13/03/2022
Parked in Pistyll. Found a passing please opposite a farm track. Walked on the footpath, over a gate, up some sheep fields. Normally sheep don't bother me but these guys all had big horns, I walked slowly to see what they did and they all ran away. If I had horns like that, no puny human would scare me :) I was going to do Moel Gwynnus but it was too misty, couldn’t see a thing. It’s very easy from this direction, another one to tick off.Skarletk18/08/2021

Circular walk from lay-by near Pistyll.Beware path down to Llwynffynon farm which is blocked but there is a trod to east of fence which becomes a track which runs all the way back to the car. With Lily, Bridget and Oscar.catman27/05/2019

Large layby at SH 33080 4211. RoW initially then veered off SE to top. Unfortunately the top is 15m on the wrong side of a b/w stock fence atop a stone wall. Not too difficult though.jonglew09/09/2017
