2nd of 6 hills on a traverse from Mold to Holywell, after Bailey I followed the main road, A541 then took the track to Gwysaney Hall. Amazing coverage of Snowdrops in the wooded area at the back of the Hall. Took the Wats Dyke trail over a muddy field and then veered towards the woodland, gaining access at NE corner. Indistinct HP in copse but also visited fence and embankment that looked as high. Descent NE to rejoin fp, heading for Moel Y Gaer... | Dazingdale | 10/02/2024 |
From north same route as Gerry. | PeterD | 18/10/2022 |
Parked on grass verge by junction to N. at SJ 2225 6782 - Along RoW to water trough just before kissing gate at 224669 - Through adjacent field gate & W. over pasture to gate alongside copse - Through gate & entered copse on NW side where a section of wire fencing is missing; just 2 strands of barbed wire. | gerrybowes | 15/02/2022 |
Last of a pleasant three tump circuit from Moel y Gaer. Indistinct HP in copse of mixed trees. Wind increasing markedly. | Denise | 30/01/2022 |

Parked to the north by the junction and down the footpath. I missed the turn to the plank bridge on the way there and ended up off piste in the woods but found the correct way back. | clivevilla | 22/09/2020 |
Parked near junction to north on verge. Path south and up into woods over 2 plank bridge then out into fields and easy to summit. | Mark Sims | 15/01/2020 |
Parked a few mts to east of Ty-eurgain. Preferred following fp rather than negotiating bwf at top of wooded bank. | Campbell Singer | 06/11/2019 |
Similar to Aye Jimmy. | David Evans | 30/12/2018 |
Me and Alf from Wats Dyke path. | jrj | 14/12/2018 |
No need to cross bw fence as AJ. Don't go straight up wood after 2 plank bridge. Slant up SE following path marked on map, to stile into field. | ngthack | 20/12/2017 |
Parked by house @ SJ222678. Due N after WM post on crossing track in wood | carole engel | 02/12/2017 |
Parked to N at junction SJ 2225.6782. Walked SW down lane to f/p heading S, followed this down to two-plank bridge over ditch at the bottom. Up through wood, over bwf into field, round R and up to top. | Aye Jimmy | 26/11/2017 |
from N following Wats Dyke Way Path as you come out of woods, instead of following path across the field turn to the right, through gate at top of field and then left to top. | Rob50 | 01/10/2017 |
P just past narrow road running N. RoW out of wood and through 2 fields. | chrisbien | 07/06/2017 |

From north as per Gordon. Summit in smallish copse | RHW | 19/12/2015 |
Parked at 222677. After crossing small bridge into wood headed due S straight up. No problem crossing fence into top field | GordonAdshead | 03/10/2015 |
Bagged on a circuitous route from my house. Took various RoWs to the north-western garden wall of Gwysaney Hall. No sign on the ground of the RoW marked on the map heading NNW over the large grassy field, so kept to field edges. Worked round the edge of Coed Bryn-eithin to an old gate. Once over it, it was but a little way up to the HP on the field edge. Return route was be RoWs and roads from Gwysaney Hall. A close day of hot sunshine and showers. | Man of Kernow1 | 20/06/2015 |
