5th top of 6 on a traverse from Mold to Holywell, after Halkyn mountain I meandered through Pentre Halkyn to reach a minor lane where a Fp heads down to the A55. I took this but then decided it was not safe so continued on minor lane that then heads under the A55 at Dolphin just leaving the not quite as busy A5026 to cross. The small lane heads all the way up just West of Cefn so I turned right and visited the gate even wedging myself in the aperture between the gate and the building. Many cows were on the other side so I did not indulge. I continued on the Wats Dyke way but my phone died and I did not have the GPs route downloaded so I continued on the WAts Dyke way into town and then dropped into the Victoria Hotel where i was staying to charge my phone. After 30 mins I took the car upto Pen Y Ball..Dazingdale10/02/2024

Levelish summit with Cefn Smallholdings farm apparently built on high point. Road gate at entrance to farm yard feels as good a high point as any. Bench mark on N corner of barn.RichardM10/04/2022

Stopped at gate, chatted to farmer who was busy there. Friendly chap, explained to him that I was one of those sad people who like to stand on all the highest hills in a county, and that his farm sat on top of one such hill. Surprised at that. He mentioned Pen-y-Ball, knew about the trig and monument, and I told him I'd just been there. Took me across the road to the stile and pointed out the sights over the Dee estuary.Aye Jimmy29/11/2017
Stopped at gate. Got out then in again and reversed out and back down to main road.chrisbien07/06/2017

Drive up to farm and high point by farm gate with Smudge. Minor road is very narrow.Dugswell213/11/2015
Parked in free car park in Bagillt (SJ 21959 75353). Took Gadlys Lane up onto ridge past Bryn Madyn Hall, then lane NW along ridge to Cefn Smallholdings. Farm sits on the summit, obliterating where the natural highest point would have been. I was content with standing just into the farmyard. To descend, took RoW over stile opposite farm down through sheep pastures to lane near Tyn y Pistyll, then N to junction, then lane east through housing estate into the village.Man of Kernow108/03/2015
Highest point seems to be farmyard gate, S side of road, a bit E of OS spot height. RHW18/05/2013
