Part of AWCPath walk from Aberdaron to Porth Neigwl. With Vaughan - great viewpoint. | JohnIvor | 26/04/2019 |
From Bryn Tirion. Delightful easy descent with great views. Past the sewage works then left up the gentle ridge to the slightly disappointing flat topped high point. Steeply down to fields back to the track past Ty Croes Mawr (avoiding Penarfynydd farm) and back to Rhiw village. | Owen B | 27/12/2018 |
Rhiw - Mynydd Rhiw - coast path - Mynydd Penarfynydd - Bryn Tirion - Rhiw | davidpettit84 | 08/12/2018 |
Parked at end of the minor road leading to Penarfynydd Farm, probably would have been better off at end of the other road at the sewage plant. Anyway, easy enough except for a tricky b/w stock fence on top of a stone wall. | jonglew | 09/09/2017 |
Bagging YSM342 Mynydd Penarfynydd. My notes for this said - Parked just above sewage works on grass tuning area for short walk with good views - Great if you knew where the sewage works were! So we drove down to Penarfynydd farm which was actually only about 150m from the trigpoint and asked the farmer if we could get to the trigpoint from his farm (which did have a ROW through it!). Alas he said no and that we couldn't park as he had livestock? So we drove down the other fork to N52° 48.541' W4° 38.153' and found the elusive sewage works, then it was a short but steepish walk up to the trigpoint. | thejackrustles | 04/08/2016 |

Would never have believed I could get quite lost and disorientated in mist here after just a 50m climb up a grassy bank and return straight down what I thought felt like the fourth side of a rectangle. Stupidly left map and compass in the car. Seriously lost for about 30-40 mins. Had to reverse my direction twice and quite amazed and a little bit freaked out by how easy it was. Clear now that it was not simply three sides of a rectangle that I'd walked and if been trying to come down the other side of the ridge and was walking east and south towards cliffs instead of west North west to my car. Unnerving for a while and back in the car looking at the map realised the ridge takes a distinct dogleg. | vegibagger | 21/08/2013 |
