Up PROW past rock cottage passing the large arrows on stone. Over wire fence to pony fieldcjo28/08/2022
Parked to south near road junction, although I didn’t would recommend approach via FP from SE. Gate into pasture with docile horses along field edge to HP just over BWF. Came back on FP heading SE.PeterD11/04/2022
From roadside parking on bend to N. at SJ 3077 5509, along track to Rock Cottage - Through gate & after about 20m turned right (painted arrow on rock) & along track to field gate - Over gate & across field of ponies to top of field, under barbed wire & into trees to summit. (S)gerrybowes23/02/2022
We parked on the roadside near Old Hall Farm. Followed the road W and then along the Bridle way. Through a gate and then up a grassy field to summit. With Graham Jackson.johnbarnard2504/02/2022
At junction of some small disused grassy wooded quarries and a grassy field, with good views east. The byway is accessed via Rock Cottage drive but we did not find that on ascent.Denise 30/01/2022
We approach from the SW but missed the bridleway. Instead we continue N along the lane until due W of the summit then cross the low strand of barbed wire and follow path beside wall through bracken and old quarry workings to the high point. While at the summit a friendly man in garden to the N asks if we are OK and explains how to find the bridleway. (You need to go through the Rock Cottage gate and as the track bends left the bridleway is behind you - look for large white arrows)RichardM30/01/2022
Dropped car in Rhosddu for service and walked Wat's Dyke Way to Alyn Waters. Then headed up towards the hill, accessing over deep wet grass from Bridleway. Good views east from near summit.JohnIvor21/09/2020
Parked on the outside of the bend at 31029 54855, walked up the lane and under the bwf and up through pasture. Walked back along the path through the thorn bushes which came out I somebody's garden which could have been embarrassing.clivevilla21/05/2020
Parked at north end of lane. Slid under the bwf into field. Across pastures. Summit is poorly electrically fenced (non operational)..Campbell Singer24/10/2019
Parked road junction to S - SJ 3077 5437. BW from minor road may marked but does not go thru' house grounds as shown. When house drive swings sharp right (SJ 3066 5470) straight ahead up grassy track - re-joins mapped BW once round housecarole engel20/11/2018
So close to home have walked but not logged previouslyBellebow30/03/2018
Cute little hill, not too windy. Easy bag, though need to be discrete. From Bridleway, over BwF and up to summit outcrop, fairly large drop nearby so need to be careful. With Nwormgage and Palettatumpawumpa29/12/2017
Bridleway from SW is easy apart from fallen tree to pass. At top step over fence and along field edge. Summit banking in trees 5m from new electric fence and 1m from old bw fence.Aye Jimmy19/11/2017
gentle wander up footpaths from west and then up grassy meadow from south with high point just a metre or so into the wooded bankvegibagger19/06/2017
From North. Room for a car. Up track to footpath and then looped around into Horsey field. Summit is pretty forgottable..Theres a rocky rib in the grass and an old quarry very close by..perhaps not one to do in the dark!stig_nest11/05/2017
From north as RHW. Summit field full of horses. Electric fence to negotiate to get into summit copse, but not live.ngthack14/02/2017
Parking: Lay-by (space for one) SJ 30540 54940. In hindsight could have parked to North of lane at SJ 307 550. Through 2 fields from north (one with benign horses).David Evans23/01/2017
Parked N end of lane, followed lane and FP until S of hill then gate and back up to summit. HP is in wood, top of spur 10m W of field edge and c.1m higher. Back to lane and descended SW to road and back along road to car. No feasible parking to SRHW18/10/2015
Completely failed to access from the S, so drove back round to the road corner to the N and came up through field of cowsGordonAdshead04/07/2015
