I parked up at the Jct of the B5123 with the Minor lane. Down road and onto footpath climbing up then across pasture from gate easily into next pasture following perimeter of woodland then entered woodland to see whether permissive footpath was and whether it was any easier and did not find it so climbed back out having past the field boundary and from there it was an easy walk past the steps into the woodland with another sign showing the footpath continued in the pasture. Great to have the Grid ref for this flattish top as one would not know for sure where it was. I continued by ducking under fence and then walking through the woodland to exit East over bwf and ditch to cross field to reach old gate protected by a bwf. I climbed fence then tackled gate that had been inundated with brambles however nothing to stop a determined tumper. Once over I took the minor lane that led back to my car. | Dazingdale | 28/01/2023 |
Parked on verge to NW near junction with B road, along track to gate across 3 pastures to top. Passing steps down not woods and FP signs in summit pasture. | PeterD | 18/10/2022 |
As others, parked to W. on wide grass verge by start of farm track at SJ 2210 6589 - Along track to permissive path sign at bottom corner of wood - Through gate & immediate left alongside holly hedge to wooden steps up into sheep pasture - Headed NW to another gate & then N. to summit. | gerrybowes | 15/02/2022 |
Parked on grass verge of A 541 (busy) at track/ RoW entrance to SE of summit. Followed track- first lambs of the year- to gate into woods with permissive path sign. This takes you to another permissive path sign/ gate with steps into grassy sheep pasture. HP in adjacent domed grassy field through another gate. | Denise | 30/01/2022 |
Parked at layby on A541 then a nice easy anticlockwise route. | Alan Caine | 30/01/2022 |
As others after parking on wide grass verge of the A451 at start of farm track. Permissive path all a little vague. First Lambs of the season in fields. Summit field of pasture with sheep. | RichardM | 30/01/2022 |
Parked at the end of the minor road, down the lane then off through a gate into a wood and followed the edge of a crop field to the summit in the pasture behind. Returned a more direct route when being GOML'd wouldn't have mattered. | clivevilla | 22/09/2020 |
Parked on lane to SE, which is private . Was challenged but ok when explained purpose. The lady had never heard of Hill Bagging . She confirmed ok to use concessionary path further down road. | Mark Sims | 15/01/2020 |
Parked at entrance to farm shop along farm lane. Shop appears to be permanently closed. Along bw and then over two fields to unexciting top. | Campbell Singer | 06/11/2019 |
Parked at entrance to minor road at SJ22095 65887.Went 300 metres SW down lane to find it fully blocked by an agricultural vehicle so jumped over field gate and headed through fields and woodland to the summit. Gave good views of the Clwydian ridge. | John Eley | 07/09/2019 |
Dropped off at start of FP. Easy ascent via concessionary path. Good views to Moel Famau. | JohnIvor | 18/01/2019 |
Me and Alf from footpath to the West. | jrj | 14/12/2018 |
Left A541 at SJ 2209.6590, took farm track, parked by Gwysaney Home Farm shop (Sunday, closed). Up lane to f/p into pheasanty wood and steps into field above. Across this, small gate into flattish pasture. | Aye Jimmy | 26/11/2017 |
from small layby as previous contributors, S on ROW at first bend in track up across fields. From summit followed the concessionary path back to NW but where it enters woods set of wooden steps overgrown with brambles so returned same as ascent. | Rob50 | 24/09/2017 |
P start of track to Cae-porth. Main track then track to top field. Very flat top. | chrisbien | 07/06/2017 |
Parked as marktrengove. Could have got a lot nearer on grass verge. No need for subterfuge as concessionary path (from SJ 21661 65710) leads almost to summit. | David Evans | 06/02/2017 |
Parked in a small lay-by opposite Pentre-Gwysaney at SJ 21438 66203 and walked along road edge of A494 NW, turning S onto RoW track. Not recommended, as no verge and road fast and busy. Then squelched my way through muddy pastures to the summit. Pasture some 100m to the SE appeared to be as high. Solo. | Man of Kernow1 | 24/12/2015 |
From ENE as per Gordon. Path unmapped as yet passes close to level pasture summit | RHW | 19/12/2015 |
Final Flint Hill, but not the finest of 4 today. Parked on main road verge at 220659, but could have got 300m along farm lane. Used track across field, but returned by (new) footpath from 216656 leading to top. | GordonAdshead | 03/10/2015 |
