From north, although needed to park to NW. up through woods from road bend. Into pasture near hedge. Edge of woods similar height. | PeterD | 18/10/2022 |
Parked in small layby (3 cars) by junction to SE at SJ 2426 6832 - NW on path alongside road to gate topped with barbed wire which lies before wood/Wat's Dyke & just before national speed limit sign - Over gate & across pasture to gate a short distance NW of pond at 234687 & then up over pasture to summit. | gerrybowes | 15/02/2022 |
domed grassy field, accessed from vegetated and impressive Wat's dyke ancient earthworks. Vegetation quite dense to South. | Denise | 30/01/2022 |
Parked in new housing estate to the east. Followed road north and then through wood south and over fence into summit field. | Alan Caine | 30/01/2022 |
Visited summit field of pasture from Wat's Dyke. Wat's Dyke easily gained from unfenced road to N, less easy from the S. | RichardM | 30/01/2022 |
Parked at small free car park in centre of the small triangle of roads at Northop. A circular clockwise route following Watts Dyke and the edge of the wood. | johnbarnard25 | 23/01/2022 |
If only more people walked along the dyke there might be less circumnavigation of hollybushes. Interesting though. | Martin R | 17/11/2021 |
From the south over gate and straight across two fields joined by open gate. Crossed final hedge at left hand corner next to wood. Awkward but achievable by sitting on fence post and holding on to tree. Unorthodox but successful. Flint completed. Not a bad county although lots of bwfs. | Campbell Singer | 06/11/2019 |
Parked at SJ23398 68098 on layby of minor road then nipped through a handy hole in the hedge then scurried along the impressive Wat's Dike. Dodging nettles and holly bushes until adjacent summit then jumped over fence into pleasant pasture land. Warm and sunny, with Ed. | John Eley | 09/07/2019 |
From the north. The route that I chose was not a very good one so I won't share it. | clivevilla | 16/05/2019 |
Me and Alf following Wats Dyke north from road by Mynachlog | jrj | 14/12/2018 |
Parked virtually opposite gate @ SJ234689. Farmer done his best to block access between fields | carole engel | 02/12/2017 |
From SSE, parked near SJ 2338.6811. Up through wood into first field, at end awkward exit back into wood on L to avoid frisky cattle in second field, then another awkward exit back into third field and summit. | Aye Jimmy | 29/11/2017 |
P 23032 68993. On bend E of bridge followed the line of the Dyke. Found hole in fence and crossed to field. Knee high grass. | chrisbien | 07/06/2017 |
Parking: SJ 23777 68063. Used Rob50 path, a bit intermittent. | David Evans | 06/02/2017 |
Interesting ascent from east along Wat's Dyke. Very lively and inquisitive heifers! | JohnIvor | 06/01/2017 |
Parked 238681 space 2 cars, walked up lane to Wat's Dyke. Went through gateway right next to woodland and along side of fields to 3rd field( through gate to 2nd field, over fence to 3rd) returned same way. No livestock in fields today. Upon return to road found pathway through wood only about 10 metres from gate, hedge overgrown small gap but clear once through, possible alternative if didn't want to cross fields. | Rob50 | 23/10/2016 |
Staying at nearby Travelodge. Bagged on my way out to get breakfast. | Richard Gunn | 21/09/2016 |
From south via dyke. Point on dyke 250m south could be a hp contender | RHW | 19/12/2015 |
Could easily park half way up the hill. Climbed due E through the wood to meet interesting Watts Dyke running along W side of fence. Crossed fence into field for last 200m. | GordonAdshead | 25/08/2015 |
Easy hill, but not much parking. Possible to park one car by gate on lane off B5126 behind house at Middle Mill at SJ 23037 68992. Ascent through wood from B5126 using line of Wat's Dyke. Then over low barbed wire fence and up to unmarked rounded pasture on summit. Good view of upper Dee Estuary. I walked this one on a 10km hike from my house in Sychdyn. | Man of Kernow1 | 19/03/2014 |
