Parked in car park, short easy walk to windmill and trig.PeteF07/01/2023
From car park, made way up tracks to within 30m or so of the summit mound. Also visited the nearby trig point & windmill ruin, a useful landmark when finding way to top. Earlier heavy rain helped to bring out the vast array of colours on display. An amazing place.gerrybowes30/10/2022
Walk from carpark on very drizzly grey day. Took shelter in the windmill from the worst of the rain before pictures at trig point.catie12/09/2022
From car park to west, interesting landscape and colours, went to trig first and then on to two possible HPs just to NW.PeterD13/08/2022

Parked at the visitor centre car park to the west of the hill and had a good look round, a very interesting site. The light was good, late afternoon, and the colours very interesting. Best little hill today.nickywood102/03/2022
very wide ranging views covering most of north wales! also isle of man and lake district. possibly scotland??mattcymru04/11/2021
From car park.mad max24/10/2021
Wandered over from the CP. Summit next to some large stones which are higher but the remains of an old building. The large opencast area to SW plays tricks on your eyes! Only Carla and Felix summited.RoguePulsar13/10/2021
Lots of colourful rocks and deep quarrys, went with whole family.speedyclimber13/10/2021
A short excursion from the car park but I wish that I'd had time to spare to explore more fully. A mangled but fascinating landscapeColin Crawford08/10/2021

Amazing place. Circular walk from large free car park to westMark Sims30/07/2019
8th hill of 9 on a car excursion from Pentraeth with Lesley, climbing Maes Maethlu, Penbryreglwys,Mynydd Garn then over to the Castellor car park on the edge of Cemaes, climbing Moel Llanlleiana, Dinas Gynfor and Graig Wen then Bryn Coch. We parked up at the car park and followed a circular route to the Windmill. Amazing colours. I spent quite a while exploring the bumps before completing the circuit. Onwards to Mynydd Eilian, my final Anglesey island tump! PARYS was my 2000th tump before Bryn Alar was demoted.Dazingdale19/07/2019

From the car park, circular walk up to the windmill and trig point with Derryderrymark05/01/2019
Visited trig point, old windmill and numerous lumps that were potentially the summit after walking around quarry.assynt_bob01/07/2018
Wandered up here with mummy, daddy, granddad and nutty nanny. Loved the “castle” (old windmill) near top and did my summit poses on top of trig point before exploring more with daddy.Seumas Kerr01/07/2018
I walked up to the summit after looking at the mine and information board.Alancache27/04/2018
Interesting hill devastation project. With Jenx after H2000nordicstar23/03/2018
Visited all likely points including the old windmill, the trig and a point about 40 metres west. Whether a 'highest natural point' still exists is impossible to say (rather unlikely, I would have thought). But well worth a visit.David Purchase24/07/2017

Short walk in fairly grim weather while the rest of the family ate their lunch in the car! Attractive moonscape with ruined windmill near summit.Herbert Anchovy16/02/2017
Parked in the car park to the west which was busy on a late Wednesday afternoon. Then paths to back the Tump, trig and former windmill in stunning light for a cool January day.Dugswell225/01/2017
From car park to Wjimbloomer08/01/2017
Explored the paths around the old quarry and the abandoned windmill. Cold but sunny day late November. Another bag for young Archie.W111KYB27/11/2016
From good car park to W on B5111. Took the direct route up and over the spoil heaps but there is a good wide path all the way to the windmill and co-located trig pillar. Difficult to know where the natural gound lies. Took a view it was a spot approx 40m due W of the trig.jonglew18/09/2015
With Bev. Interesting hill.simon and co21/08/2015

2nd visit. very windy. saw a bit more this time. must come back in summer.mattcymru07/03/2015
Climbed as part of a 17km trail hike from holiday cottage at Cochwillan, near Traeth Dulas. Followed quiet lanes up past windfarm, then took heritage trail from the car park clockwise to the summit. Returned on bridleway on east side of the hill to the lane, and so back by outward route. A very interesting hill to explore, using the information boards. Extensively altered by man, so who knows where the original natural summit once stood? Perhaps not at the trig point. Really a 'Bing' (artificial hill) now.Man of Kernow115/11/2014
Came here after Mynydd Bodafon. Not far to top. Looks like i didnt go to actual high point! Fantastic place though. I can say ive been to Mars!mattcymru14/11/2014

On a tour of Sir Ynys Mon bumps. From P at SH437905. Last visited 37 years ago on university field trip. Still eerily spectacular although there is a little more vegetation at the lower edges of the spoil.summitsup16/06/2014

Very different hill from what I was expecting and not quite a mountain. Still worth bagging though.DanTrig09/08/2008
Carpark beside B5111 1km west of summit at SH 43675 90520. Not exactly a pleasant hill but interesting all the same.David Gradwell28/08/2005

From the south, a short stroll. Bizarre, almost Martian, landscape.Jake99428/10/2004
Did this years ago as a kid. I have no idea where the summit is so have to do it with Strava. It's really strange, a bit like how I imagine Mars to look with colourful ground and water, It's possibly a bit toxic around there but we didn't know as children. It's worth seeing as it's quite cool.Skarletkblank
