Parked on residential road to NNW, then south on FP. Up to fence where others have crossed to north, went to both potential HPs and came back down faint path to other fence crossing point. On to Bryn Maelgywn.PeterD12/08/2022
As others, parked by hairpin bend on the unmetalled Fferm Lane at SH 7961 8077 - Up RoW & well-worn path across W. slope & then a short climb across rough grass to a section of fence where bw has been cut at SH 7994 8094 - S. along path, faint at first, to summit outcrop. Noticed bwf had been cut 20m NW of summit; crossing here would involve a short scramble.gerrybowes13/04/2022
Went up paths from Fferm Lane but couldn't find easy(for me)crossing of fence to West of summit. Eventually found break in wall to north of wood and clear path to top through wood. Excellent views from top.catman20/07/2021
Coed Gaer and Bryn Maelgwyn on local walk during lockdown.angelfon3703/11/2020
Mynydd Pant, Coed Gaer, Bryn Maelgwyn, Bryniau and Degannwy Castle (respectively) walking from Llandudno station to Deganwy station. Fence reasonable to cross at SH 7991 8089.summitsup27/01/2020
There are two possible HPs within the contour ring, one in deciduos woodland and the other on a large limestone outcrop with embedded yew and good view. We preferred the latter (SW)Denise 02/11/2019
From the NE through open woodland on path from the NE 'Top' contour ring. Then down the broken rock to gain the field path to W.RichardM02/11/2019
Nice scramble and viewpoint - second of the day.JohnIvor12/01/2019
Did not encounter any serious scrambling. Difficult wobbly fence to W on top of cragscarole engel19/11/2018
After Bryn Maelgwyn, continued along path then steeply up field crossing fence at convenient tree stump and boulders.Aye Jimmy18/07/2018
Parked opposite the track to the NW and did firstly Bryn Maelgwyn (typical wooded tump) and then Coed Gaer which is a lovely rocky top.clivevilla21/03/2018
Started on Queens Rd and down Ferm Lane to the paths across face of hill . Went up to col and back to top through woods . Fantastic view point looking out over Llandudno and the sea.Mark Sims28/02/2018
Byrn Maelgwyn to Little Orme.Jake99422/10/2017
Approached from the Queens Rd, up a farm track to the col between the two coeds. Summit seems to be a limestone outcrop just above a barbed-wire fence.summitter31/07/2017
From NNW as others, at end of lane cut back L to gain ridge near N end of crags, a little scrambly and scrubby at the crux. Another little scramble and easy fence crossing a short way N of summit outcrop, then grassy path to easily cross fence by a fallen tree. Back via Maelgwyn. ene, Chapel, lane path and access land. Limestone pavement.RHW17/02/2017
Parking for Coed Gaer and Bryn Maelgwyn SH 79646 81375 (wide residential road). Went south from SH 79738 81390 for both hills.David Evans06/02/2017

Came up lane to the N, bur could not park at the triangle so stopped a little way back down. it would have been much better to come from the S, as I had to descend S beneath the cliff before going back up along the fence line. Crossed the fence about 70 m from the top.GordonAdshead13/10/2015
2nd tump of day after Bryniau. Bit of a slog to get to top from near large mansion type building. Very windy at top and limestone cliffs! I fail to understand why people dismiss these `insignificant` hills. The views are excellent and great limestone scenery. went back through nice woodland, the Coed of this hill. Oh and had to climb fence to get to summit. thought id be blown down cliffs. got hole in jacket :(mattcymru15/01/2015
3rd hill of four today and light is beginning to drop. Other Hills being the Little Orme, Mynydd Pant and from there I took fp's onto the open acess land at Hen Dwr and from there got lost a bit as it looks like there is a tumpat Nant-y-Gamar but got back on track again by using compass, i took the fp that flanks the hillside and climbed up from there and over the fence and found the summit to be a rocky outcrop nearby, but very overgrown in places, certainly a challenge!! Great for botanists as there are many species of wildflower growing in and around the summit.Dazingdale13/07/2014
