Logged Descriptions  (logged by 38 users)ByDate of Ascent
Night ascent with Rufus, not much to see anyway! Parked at hairpin on Fferm Lane and for added clarity you follow the track S where it forks at the base of the hill, take the left path which is where the steep muddy track can be found on R after 20m. It is very steep and slippery, it was challenging in studded fell running shoes. HP by old wall, descended less steep but less obvious path E across top then N to track.jacobrichmond28/09/2023
Across from Coed Gaer, left FP o follow faint path uphill, but would have been better going to FP junction where a better trodden path goes uphill. I came down this way. HP found by remains of wall.PeterD12/08/2022
As others, parked by hairpin bend on the unmetalled Fferm Lane at SH 7961 8077 - Up RoW & into wood for about 20m, turned right & up steep well-used path to summit by wall & yew tree; some windfall across path. On return, farmer told me politely that the only vehicles allowed on Fferm Lane were those accessing the farm.gerrybowes13/04/2022
From town centre in glorious sunshine. Ascent and descent by steep slippery slope.Would definitely recommend taking a stick or two.catman18/07/2021

Mynydd Pant, Coed Gaer, Bryn Maelgwyn, Bryniau and Degannwy Castle (respectively) walking from Llandudno station to Deganwy station. Approach and exit as RichardM.summitsup27/01/2020
HP by crumbling stone wall in woodland with many paths.Denise 02/11/2019
Up the E shoulder from where path enters woods to wooded summit with dens and rubbish. Down steep slithery path on N side.RichardM02/11/2019
From bus stop on Queens Road, up and down via the steep path, then on to Bryn Pydew and Conwyderrymark04/04/2019
Steep - top covered in litter. Hill 3 of the day.JohnIvor12/01/2019
Final hill of Creuddyn Peninsula. Steep it certainly was. Wet too. Needed stick to help me down. Went down same way as to not get lost as can easily be done in wooded hillsmattcymru17/12/2018
Did not find aforementioned track to summit. Wood open - no problems.carole engel19/11/2018
From N at sharp bend in Ferme Lane. Path into wood then after 30m steep track on R up to summit. Nice woody top spoilt by litter. Back down, then to Coed Gaer.Aye Jimmy18/07/2018
Parked opposite the track to the NW and did firstly Bryn Maelgwyn (typical wooded tump) and then Coed Gaer which is a lovely rocky top.clivevilla21/03/2018
Step path up from Ferm Lane off Queens Rd ( easy roadside parking ) before going on to Coed GaerMark Sims28/02/2018
Steep path up the north side to top. Returned same way then on to Coed Gaer, Mynydd Nant and Little Orme.Jake99422/10/2017
Quite a tramp through dense woodland - steadily climbing from the east of the wood. More tramps seem to have set up home near the summit.summitter31/07/2017
From nne, after Coed Gaer, deciduous woodland with fine old yews. Hp by remains of wallRHW17/02/2017
Parking for Coed Gaer and Bryn Maelgwyn SH 79646 81375 (wide residential road). Went south from SH 79738 81390 for both hills. On Bryn Maelgwyn found GordonAdshead 'modest track' at the summit. Lots of rubbish at summit, but also, a few yards away, a great looking yew built shelter, with no rubbish.David Evans06/02/2017
From the footpath north of the hill. Many yew trees surrounding the summit which is ruined by the remains of rubbish and shelters left by drop outs.jrj03/11/2016
From footpath west, and up wooded steep sideJamesD197213/10/2016
Drove up lane from the NNW and easily parked N of the hill. Modest track led right up to the top, greatly spoiled by a vast quantity of litter. Parking spot would have been a far better place to go up Coed Gaer.GordonAdshead13/10/2015
parked on grass by entrance to St. David's college.Adrian08/11/2014
Fourth Hill of the day in severely diminishing light; Little Orme, Mynydd Pant, Coed Gaer and from there took fp close to jct with a bridleway and branched off, heading up on an animal track steeply upwards, then following old stone wall to the summit.Summit area is confusing with dips and hollows but appears to be right beside the stone wall, that is now overgrown. Nice spot overlooking the cemetary. I scrambled down on a slightly different line (very steep) to reach fp again and then took a track to get back to the outskirts of Llandudno. Could not believe that It was 22.30 by the time I got back to my hotel!.Dazingdale13/07/2014
From cemetery across main road. Very steep climb,so tried to descend on gentler side but got horribly lost in the deep dark wood.seems to be lump by old wall. Rain. Can't believe I am first to log this hill.alwaysinshorts07/06/2014
