With Rufus from Bodnant Road to north. ROW between two houses straight to summit, hemmed in by head high gorse and bracken until the clearing at the top. Good little vantage point.jacobrichmond28/09/2023

Too nice a day to be stuck in. What a fantastic small hill and views. Lots of yellow cos of gorse. Could be named `Bryn Melyn`. In summer. NOTE:This walk was for exercise purposes and i was with my dad. Not many people about. And didnt travel far.mattcymru24/03/2020
Mynydd Pant, Coed Gaer, Bryn Maelgwyn, Bryniau and Degannwy Castle (respectively) walking from Llandudno station to Deganwy station. Approached from where path leaves housing at SH 7896 8092.summitsup27/01/2020
Definite ridge with outcrops, We thought SW one higher. Great viewsDenise 02/11/2019
Via a messy route through Bryniau farm. Summit conveniently crossed by foot path flanked with gorse. I thought the SW outcrop was just the higher by Abney (both ways), but very little in it. Last on our circuit of Llandudno Tumps.RichardM02/11/2019
From Maesdu golf club, then walked down to the Links hotelderrymark02/01/2019

F/p from NW which starts at entrance to hospital and runs up side of golf course. Path has steps up through gorse at top.Aye Jimmy18/07/2018
Parked in Maenan Road and ascended the path which leaves the housing estate at 78971 80932. Lovely little hill.clivevilla21/03/2018
Approached from SE parking in church car park. Bryniau farm is a S..t Hole as we say in Yorkshire. All gates on PROW tied and ground around farm a deep quagmire. Once out of farmer's land, the climb NE up the hill is good except that it is becoming overgrown. Suggest a much shorter and probably more pleasant approach from housing estate to NEcarole engel04/12/2017
Followed path from Bryniau Farm after taking a look at the ruined tower.Wheelsy05/08/2017
Lovely walk through sheep and cows along ROWs from Bryniau farm.summitter31/07/2017

From ese, church, paths thru farm not quite as mapped. Surprisingly good path up thru gorse to summit outcrop which should have an OS trig bolt.RHW17/02/2017
With Alf Parked near church to the east and then a gentle stroll through Bryniau Farm.jrj04/11/2016

Having strolled on from Degannwy Castle, and on our way back to the coach in Llandudno, we traversed a field of donkeys and headed for the tower, then up to the very nice summit of this surprisingly good hill!DanHolme10/10/2015
Didnt expect much with this one with it being 93 metres.. but a bit of effort required! Visited old tower thing and then attempted to work out which was highest spot. Magnificent view of llandudno and orme. Dont underestimate these small hills! Was going to do another Bryniau today but bus didnt turn up..mattcymru15/01/2015
Last Hill on an epic week of exploration in Snowdonia, Today I chilled out in a cafe overlooking Llandudno and then climbed over and down to the coastal path to Deganwy, exploring both summit areas. On Deganwy road I tried to get to the fp running behind the houses but there was no access point so it a was a long detour to get to the fp nr the jct with the A546. I veered off the fp on a shortcut following field boundary heading NE, skirting Maesdu golf course and then dropped onto Fp heading to jct where a fp heads N-NE over the summit. Lovely airy path with gorse and heather. Followed path down to residential area and back on streets into Llandudno.Dazingdale14/07/2014
