Bagged on the first day of walking the Anglesey coastal path. Ambled up the grassy slope to the cairn.PhilipChaston03/09/2023
From car park to SE, track down to beach, along Coast Path to 291922 & then NE over pasture to summit cairn on knoll. Section of path from Ynys y Fydlyn to Porth yr Hwch closed from 14 September to 1 February; access via Mynachdy.gerrybowes19/08/2023

From parking to ESE, along track to beach. Climbed the two tidal islands, adding 10 mins to the walk. Up and round the cliff path until at its high point near the summit. Across mown meadow to untidy cairn. A tractor was playing with haylage bales in the field below the summit so I made a hasty retreat.Minto17/07/2023
From car park to SE, took path down to the sea, then followed coastal path north. Branched off to top and cairn.PeterD13/08/2022
Climbed in a circular walk along the Welsh Coastal Path starting at Car Park SH304915johnbarnard2505/08/2022
Beautiful and spectacular walk from cp to se. Very interesting walk interrupted by several electric fences.Campbell Singer22/04/2022
From the parking to the SE , but got there late and it was already getting dark. Took path to sea , across gap and up the path on the cliffs. Virtually pitch dark on top, so didn't fancy the cliff path again and made my way east to farm at Mynachdy , having argued with an electric fence, and back down road- probaly really nice in the light .Mark Sims18/11/2021
Bagged as a short detour from the Ynys Mon Coastal Path, on Porth Swtan to Cemaes section. With TM and IB.Man of Kernow112/05/2021
2nd tump of 9 on a car excursion with Lesley from Pentraeth, 1st Maes Maethlu then i drove to the Hen-dy car park to do a 2 tump loop. I took the fp own to the beach. I scrambled up the East top and down-climbed into the gully then on rocks to reach basalt to scramble to the top. Strangely getting a reading of 37m on top! Back for East top.. Easy detour from coastal path to reach cairn. Descent near the White ladies to reach farm track then minor lanes en-route to Mynydd Garn...Dazingdale19/07/2019
As DMB but avoided the bits of the path that were close to the edge.chrisbien30/06/2019
Car park to the SE. Pleasant track to the beach by the tidal islands of Ynys Y Fydlyn ( both easy to ascend ) before taking the coastal path around to the summit. Signs state the land is off limits between September 14th & February.DanMaisieBex13/04/2019
Coastal path closed at Llyn y Fydlyn to S between 14/9 and 1/2 for shooting (farmer told me this) but no shooting on Sundaycarole engel03/12/2017
From Mynachdy farm welcoming my wellies for an initially churned up muddy track. Great views out to sea and The Skerries with lighthouse.vegibagger13/06/2017
Easy detour from doing lovely stretch of coast path from Church Bay to Hen Borth, visiting Mynydd y Garn on the way back.milimana27/02/2017
Parked at Hen-dy, then down to the coast to bag the two tidal islands, Ynys y Fydlyn (P26) and Ynys y Fydlyn - East (P22) before heading along the coastal path to bag Penbrynyreglwys.Dugswell225/01/2017
coastal path only open from 01 Feb to 14 Sepjimbloomer12/01/2017
Rhydwyn to Llanfaethlu. Seasonal closure of this area of Coast Path wasn't evident during my approach from the NE & only became aware of it through NT information plate as I continued S towards Ynys y Fydlyn. A few electric fences had to be (easily) crossed.Smudge25/11/2016
With VE on AWCP walk from Cemlyn to TrefadogJohnIvor04/09/2016
Summit cairn, near spectacular section of coastal path, apparently only open part of the year. Day marks and old industrial chimney nearby. Tide too high for siblet ( ynysy Fydlyn)Denise 07/08/2016
A fine summit just a short detour from the excellent section of coastal path. Great views out to The Skerries and West Mouse. Choughs on cliffs.RichardM07/08/2016
As others from car park to SE at SH 30316 91457. Made a pleasant 5 mile circular walk out of it. No problems detouring from the path to the summit and regaining the path heading north.David Gradwell24/06/2016
From Park to SE; Great trip along great coastGordonAdshead29/05/2016
From car park near Hen-dy. RoW seems to have been diverted a little but ends up at the coast by the fine tidal islands of Ynys Fydlyn, both of which were summited on the return leg when tide was low enough to avoid wet feet (and both of which will shortly be included in Alan Holmes' list of siblets). N on coastal path where a prominet sign declares the path only available 1 Feb to 14 Sep - well luckily it was stil open on 15th! Fine headland walk, sometimes tumps are a joy to do.jonglew15/09/2015
The Skerries visited with RibRide out of Holyhead: details added here as nearest hill on database. Highest rock SH 26781 94761 at S side of lighthouse, SH 26781 94761, 22m GPS, 2m accuracy SW island: SH 26651 94599, 20m, 4m accuracy NE island: SH 27160 95091, outcrop 18m NE of tall cairn, P18m by GPS (saddle probably c.1m)RHW13/09/2015
Parked in car park near Hen-dy at SH 30320 91453. Took track down to join coast path, then north down to the cove in which Ynys y Fydlyn is situated, with its fine rock arch. Then continued on coast path round Carmel Head, diverting off path to climb easily to summit cairn. To descend, rejoined coast path east past signalling stations, then track south back up to car park. A fine coastal walk, With ALT, SC, LM & TM, and AB & IB.Man of Kernow113/06/2015
From SE, with Adrian, car park then good paths. Great coastal scenery and summit area mostly gorsefree. The near-tidal stack Ynys y Fydlyn is 27m on 1:10k and probably c.P24. Looked scrambleable but we were out of time. As we left for home, a young family took their car down the track towards cove - as their 2 year old 'demanded to be carried'! Last hill of a memorable Anglesey day.RHW07/09/2014
