From highpoint on A841 along ATVtrack to bright white trig. 1 Hr return. Lost track on way down whilst not concentrating. Got a boot full of water retrieving the situation.Longwojo23/08/2023
Up on the ATV track from near the road high point. The trig looks like it has had a very recent coat of paint.Chris Peart05/07/2023
From the high point on main road from Lochranza to Brodick. Wide passing - parking area on both sides of the road. Look for an ATV track which will ease your way upwards. It had been v v dry , it will be u er squishy in normal times. Vibrant well maintined trig point and great views of the Clyde .VerySlowPlodder04/06/2023

Up and down from the road between rain showers. Looks a good walk along the ridge on a nice day.daviemore23/09/2021
Long arduous walk carrying a heavy pack across from the trig to the east in quite bleak conditions. Certainly felt a lot more like autumn weather up here this afternoon.Alex C17/08/2021
Great sea view. We headed down to the cock of Arran after that, and camped near Ossian's Cave. Noticed that there is stone-carved grafitti inside the cave detailing 'Murchie', spooky.RichardMurchie02/05/2019
From layby at high point of road, Snowy, mild, calm and stunning views.iangalbraith02/02/2019
From highpoint, wet short walk while waiting on ferry. Very white painted trig pointN.Morters21/01/2019
An ATV track starts about 75 yards South of the highest car park on the Corrie Lochranza road.Followed it almost to ridge south of summit. Low clouds marred the views.catman17/09/2018
Full west to east traverse of the most north easterly coastal ridge right down to the 224m trig pillar then out to the north Glen Sannox car park with 15 mins to spare to get bus back to my van.vegibagger19/11/2017
Braved the weather and was rewarded with stunning views of Caisteal Abheail, Goatfell, the hills to he west, Lochranza, the clyde and hills beyond to the north. An easy 3 hour walk, recommended.Chris Mac18/11/2017
From Lochranza SYHA, up good path to ridge then over pathless grass and heather to summit with white-painted trig point. Returned via coast path from Laggan.davidpettit8404/10/2017
On route to Kintyre via Broderick and Lochranza ferries. From car park near highpoint of road took very wet ATV track to ridge. Party of deer near sumitt.garyhoney22/07/2017

After walking Caisteal Abhail thought it was a good idea from ridge back down to walk over to this peak. A bit boggy in parts used forest as handrail to it. Vibrant trig point resplendent in whitewash along with some good views, especially from where we had just walked. Company: Martin Stewartiandesbottes13/04/2017
A good SOTA activation with Pete 2E0FYQ & Kevin G6SSN going up from the road over moorland.G4OOE16/08/2016

2nd hill of 5 today starting from Lochranza and climbing directly from Torr Meadhonach. Beautiful airy route and relatively straightforward. Descent to the North Sannox bridge. The trig must have been recently painted as it was gleaming.Dazingdale12/05/2016

A very easy hill.jenx17/04/2016
Ferry to Lochranza, on way to Broddick. From road col at 200m used the ATV track most of way to ridge line.nordicstar17/04/2016
Climbed from Lochranza up the Laggan track during the driest part of the day. Big bouncy vegetables all over this hill, quite benign at first, and then tussocks and peat hags near the top! I bet the views are great on a clear day. After getting back to the track, I went down to Laggan and round the coast path back to Lochranza. This is highly recommended, as the path is decidedly more interesting than the hill. The rain caught me then but it was so warm and humid no cag was needed, getting soaked was nice and cooling.Gill25/06/2015
On the way from Glencoe to Brodick, dolphins on the crossing to Lochranza, then we took the Laggan path out of Glen Chalmadale (small layby to park there) to its summit, then pathless moor and sea views all the way to the Marilyn top. Southern Highlands and Clyde views, no way we were going to miss out on a walk today. With brother, Pete.pwheeler30/05/2015

On the first attempt (15/12/13), it was so windy walking along the ridge was very unpleasant with gusts of 60mph reported, to Jill Dave and I just settled for the Lockranza, laggan, and Cock of Arran circuit without the mindless tick. Returned the following day for a wind assited ascent direct from the roadmindlessflogger16/12/2013
From the beach at Lochranza. Susan, Anne, Graham and I ascended the easy graded path to Laggan. From ridge, I climbed to the trig, then jogged back to meet them. Cava at Sannox before the ferry.alexmaclennan30/09/2013

Straight up from the parking space at the high point of the Broddick / Lochranza road. Quad bike tracks to follow to the col south of the summit. Nice depression near to summit if you fancy a bivvy.andy macp10/06/2013
On a very wet and very windy day returning to the hostel at Lochranza, parked at roadside near the 204m spot height on OS 1:25k map and slogged the short mile over very rough moorland - heather, tussock grass, boggy - wind howling a gale and horizontal rain. This was not a pretty bag!jonglew08/05/2013
A circular walk from the SYHA (see below) along the ridge and then down to the north-eastern coast and back to the SYHA. A beautiful day with great views across the Firth of Clyde. Our base for the Easter weekend was the fantastic Lochranza SYHA.Ginger Dave31/03/2013
Great start to the walk along Arran Coastal Route from North Sannox Picnic Area, then cutting up on the track signposted "Arran Coastal Route - Escape Route to Lochranza" just after Laggan Cottage. Cut up along the top of the cliffs to the SE at the cairned bealach; pathless thereafter but easy enough all the way to the trig point which is a good viewpoint. Went back down on an old track over the Boguillie pass that traverses high above the main road; was very squelchy - not particularly recommended as a descent route except in dry weather. Nice riverside walk at the end back to the Picnic Area, though.milngavie_kenny11/11/2012
Very good path from Lochranza to the NW bhealach but rough going along the broad ridge during prolonged snow shower. Picked up the(nicely frozen) argo tracks down to Boguillie, then road to Sannox.Smudge28/11/2010
Revisit. From SSW, laybys at summit of road pass. Wet tussocky start, soggy snow higher up. Went on to Sannox as per agentmancuso but not the best option methinks.RHW03/04/2010

From the high point on the road - a quick out & back with Martin66 & Shaky. Returned a year or so later on 2/1/09 & did it again with two cars as part of a longer walk with the same company around the coast at the top of Arran.NotReallyABagger30/12/2008
