From Esgair Penygarreg. Paths kept appearing and disappearing but enough there to make it straightforward going. After the top I went too far east before joining the ROW. Would have been better to have aimed for it from the top.Alan Moore01/01/2019

From disused quarry near Elan Valley Visitor Centre (SN 92435 64596) - Y Foel - Cnwch. Followed road past water treatment works before taking signed path at SN 93439 65420. Return by the same route and through Elan Valley Visitor Centre to ascend Caban-coch Dam.
