Up various tracks from north & NE plus add on if the Dodd to the east
Trig no. S6188 significant very heavy thick cast iron pyramidal hat same as the broken on Brown Muir which has a square Lossiemouth style trig and these cast iron pyramid hays are clearly designed for these to fit a 2ftx2ft top not a hotine pillar, so I'm curious to know why it's there. | vegibagger | 06/07/2023 |

With Cook's Cairn from Allanreid CP | PaulineD | 08/07/2022 |
One of two separate NE corbetts completed solo on the same day - arrived early at the junction near the farm - easy path to follow most of the way up before getting up onto Muckle Laprach where the path thinned out but easy terrain over to the corbett summit. Decided to make it a loop and continuied NE along the top down a route marked Morton's Way, down to a track that doubled back West past some houses and over the Corryhabbie Burn before going back uphill slightly to meet up with the inward route. Total time 2h 41min (8.12miles, 575m ascent).

Given how short the walk was, I decided to chase this up with another NE corbett (Geal-charn from Dorback) before heading home. | mproudfoot | 26/06/2022 |

Parked at the road junction 200m north of Ellivreid. Good grassy track leads easily onto Gallow Hill, then Hill of Achmore. At the end of the track a good narrow path leads through the heather to 650m asl, then pathless across short heather onto another track to the summit. Descended steeply north through heather to another grassy track west of Corryhabbie Burn. | Owen B | 24/05/2022 |

From parking at Bridgehaugh, through Glen Fiddich past Glenfiddich Lodge and then onto summit, followed glen back to start. | JasonStark | 16/04/2022 |
From Allanreid parking (NJ235248) following R Livet E by signed tracks to Knochkan, crossing by footbridge, then N along tracks past Suie and onto Cook's Cairn, descended NW, crossing Glen Fiddich, reaching Morton's Way track near NJ294283, following that SW briefly, then up the zigzag track to summit of Corryhabbie Hill, then followed curving ridge round Muckle Lapprach and up Càrn a' Bhodaich, descended steeply SW, crossing a deep stream valley, and across moorland to reach a forest track at NJ252276 (through gap in fence), and followed that SW all the way to slopes above Allanreid, descended final slope direct to start (6h10m) | kdbennett | 27/03/2022 |
Start finish Ellivreid Farm. Lovely sunny day (bit hazy for distant views) with Struie and Rhona. Ascended from west end, descended along ridge east end. Extremely windy on top. | DampandDusty | 20/03/2022 |
Climbed with Richard after staying at hotel in Tomintoul.

Strong SSW wind throughout, but clear with good views of B Rinnes and a little sunshine near the end. Extensive deep soft wet mud to wade through in the first field after leaving the road opposite Ellivreid. | NorfolkPT21 | 24/10/2021 |
From Allanreid car park via Ben Rinnes and Glenfiddich Lodge MTB cycle up Morton's Way. Descent via track to Back Burn and on to Suie and car park. 50km and 1600m climbing. Big Day. | John Lee | 12/09/2021 |

Solo. After breakfast at the campsite I made an early start to the hill. Parked at NJ269325 junction - plenty room. After a brief correction the way was clear onto Hill of Achmore and Muckle Lapprach. Animal tracks across these hills made the going easier. On final pull up track on Muckle Lapprach I saw a seagull behaving oddly - I thought it might be a male hen harrier, but on checking the photos it was clearly a gull. From the trig point summit I descended via Morton's Way. I accidentally started the navigator function on the route and was regularly chastised for deviating from route. A very deliberate detour from final field to avoid an over interested herd of suckler cows. | langskill | 19/07/2021 |

From Allanreid CP. Long walk to Corryhabbie Hill, past ruins and along the River Livet. Blazing hot early in the morning. Followed by Cook's Cairn. | Jhimmy | 05/06/2021 |
Started at the Bridgehaugh car park, walking through Glen Fiddich to the forest edge just shy of Glenfiddich Lodge. A steeper track took us straight up to Thunderslap Hill (great name), the final few hundred metres being across heather. Then more heather to Hill of Glenroads, before dropping on to the track of Morton's Way. This provided an easy walk up to Corryhabbie Hill. Returned back along the track to the lodge and car park. Just under 5 hrs. | summitter | 30/05/2021 |
