11 mile run loop with Pauline from Maenclochog C&CC site … with Foel Cwmcerwyn and Foel Feddau .. nice sunny warm eveningmilejunkie08/05/2022
Third of 6 tops on a wonderful walk across Mynydd Preseli from Crymych to Newport. After Carn Menyn, via Carn Gwr and Bedd Arthur. Probably the least interesting of today's tops, and the ascent from Bedd Arthur was surprisingly hard, lots of concealed uneven rock under the vegetation. From here back onto the ridge westwards.thesweetcheat26/04/2022
Eleven mile walk along the Preselli Hill with Mog. Dropped off near Foel Drygarn and from there to Carn Menyn, Carn Sian, Foel Cwmceryn and Cerrig Lladron (the latter a repeat from a couple of days before) before descending to our cottage for the week at Tregynon. Clear but strong wind. Good day out.Herbert Anchovy19/04/2022
Started as clivevilla but without the running.. Dropped off by Barbara and met her on top of Foel Drygarn before descending south east to car which Barbara had driven round.Campbell Singer07/11/2021
Parked at 12726 30789, straight up the path towards Carn Sian which peters out but no problem. Then picked up the main path across to Carn Menyn which requires an easy scramble. I ran a bit as I was late for dinner with the wife so 4.68 miles 1hour 26 mins.clivevilla04/10/2021
A traverse of the Preseli Hills, starting from the car park at the top of the pass (SN 075 322). West up to Cerrig Lladron first, then back to the pass and east along the ridge to Foel Cwmcerwyn (previously bagged as a Marilyn in 2018, today as a Dewey), then on to Carn Sian, Carn Menyn (nice scramble to summit), and the fort at Foel Drygarn. Then direct route back to the car. 22.5km with 700m ascent in 5h40m. (S)silveracorn_alan08/08/2021
Part of ridge walk. Lost car keys on top and had to retrace steps all the way from the car park! Found them!Poolton12310/07/2021
10.7 mile walk from minor road west of Penygroes, followed sketchy paths on fairly easy terrain across the slopes to the col between Foel Cwmcerwyn and Carn Sian, went there-and-back to Foel Cwmcerwyn (previously bagged in 2005)then followed easy paths to the cairned summit of Carn Sian and the rocky tor top of Carn Menyn, from here headed north briefly getting stuck in the bogs of the Afon Clun-Maen and headed back to the car. Afterwards drove around to and bagged Frenni Fawr and Freni Fach. A few people about on this nice sunny/high cloud day, good views especially towards the Gower Peninsular.DanTrig05/09/2020
