Parked on Main Street, New Radnor and picked way up from RoW to east. Domed sheep pasture , no features, extensive frosty rural views on clear sunny day.Denise 01/12/2023
From the ENE. Track from Knowle Farm, field gate into summit field of improved pasture with sheep. Levelish summit area. High point gentle grassy rise, unmarked. Cloudless skies, bright sunshine, calm, frosted viewsRichardM01/12/2023
Parked in the car park by the school in New Radnor, as it was the school holidays. Knowle Hill (from the N side just beyond path split to allow field access via gates), Whimble, Bache Hill, Black Mixen, Great Rhos, Nyth-grug, Mynd and The Smatcher. Warm but overcast with a breeze on top. With Gillianrichard6907/08/2023
Parked at Mutton Dingle car park. Whimble, Bache Hill, Black Mixen and Knowle Hill. Followed fence line along contour to south of forest back to car. With Andy.Campbell Singer09/06/2023
5/5. From Whimble via woods. OS marked paths in woods are mostly overgrown, so just stick to the tracks. Probably would have skippped this barely-tump, though a nice spot, but was on the way back anyway. SoloRoguePulsar15/08/2022

1/8 A splendid round trip of the Great Rhos to bag 3 Deweys. From New Radnor up bridleway, with quick hop over the fence (SO 214 619) and up the field to Knowle Hill, back down and up FP through wood to barns, then direct up to the Whimble (splendid summit), back down and revisited Bache Hill and the transmitter at Black Mixen, visiting the deleted Nuttall, Great Creigau, en route. Then a significant descent to bag my second Dewey, Fron-wen (disappointing - just a rise in a forest road) and on to revisit Marilyn Great Rhos, before a long trek over wild moors to my final Dewey, Nyth-grug, and a lengthy road walk back to New Radnor. All in all a great walk with good views. 25km with 900m ascent in 7 hours. (S)silveracorn_alan24/07/2020

Parked in New Radnor then up the minor road called Mutton Dingle. Then used a track around woodland to left to Whimble then descended to footpath through the woodland to access sheep pasture and summit of Knowle Hill. Down to New Radnor via footpath and flush bracket 11655.Dugswell229/09/2017
Knowle Hill - Whimble - Bache Hill - Great Creigiau - Black Mixen - Great Rhos. Basically the Nuttalls route with occasional diversions to take in the three bonus summits. Mainly cloudy and breezy but dry.Herbert Anchovy29/07/2017
With Jenx from New Radnor. Clockwise circuit of all the tops on a decent weather day, followed a damp start.nordicstar11/07/2016
