Parked in layby at SN165332 and climbed towards Foel Drygarn then down and up to Carn Menyn. Back along the Golden Road to finish. | androc | 11/08/2023 |
Parking area to SE at SN 1654 3307 & up Foel Drygarn. From Foel Drygarn headed S. on wide grassy path which joins the bridleway at 157329 - W. along bridleway to junction at SN 1467 3274, forked left & SW along good path to the summit tor; the path bypasses intervening tors. Enjoyable scramble up good rock to the summit pinnacle. | gerrybowes | 06/07/2022 |
Nicholas memorial- Crugiau Dwy- Foel Dyrch- Carn Menyn- Foel Drygarn- Mountain-bach- Nicholas memorial walk. These Eastern Preselis were new to me. The key to doing the 4 hills in a single walk. Good, easy to Dolaumaen; lots of tracks down to Henbarc- unmissable with its square enclosure of conifers above the farm, then an impeccably marked RoW. But markers were intermittent round houses at Dolaumaen and I regretted not simply going down the drive from 16213106. It soon becomes the RoW. I wondered if anyone used the path beyond the house. It's encroached by the bog in a few places, but the footbridge marked on the map did exist and the path up to Glanrhyd was clear, though very wet . I did this path after an exceptionally dry spring here, so it comes with a warning rather than a recommendation. Then permitted path from the bw at Glanrhyd over access land to the splendid summit, scrambling over one of the many impressive angled blocks of dolerite that was the HP. Excellent finish! | pwheeler | 10/05/2022 |

Second of 6 tops on a wonderful walk across Mynydd Preseli from Crymych to Newport. From Moel Drygarn via Carn Ferched. Had a great time scrambling about to reach the tops of the different outcrops. Down to the excellent chambered cairn, then a bit of a detour off the main ridge to the cairns around Carn Gwr, then Bedd Arthur. | thesweetcheat | 26/04/2022 |
Eleven mile walk along the Preselli Hill with Mog. Dropped off near Foel Drygarn and from there to Carn Menyn, Carn Sian, Foel Cwmceryn and Cerrig Lladron (the latter a repeat from a couple of days before) before descending to our cottage for the week at Tregynon. Clear but strong wind. Good day out. | Herbert Anchovy | 19/04/2022 |

Parked at 12726 30789, straight up the path towards Carn Sian which peters out but no problem. Then picked up the main path across to Carn Menyn which requires an easy scramble. I ran a bit as I was late for dinner with the wife so 4.68 miles 1hour 26 mins. | clivevilla | 04/10/2021 |

A traverse of the Preseli Hills, starting from the car park at the top of the pass (SN 075 322). West up to Cerrig Lladron first, then back to the pass and east along the ridge to Foel Cwmcerwyn (previously bagged as a Marilyn in 2018, today as a Dewey), then on to Carn Sian, Carn Menyn (nice scramble to summit), and the fort at Foel Drygarn. Then direct route back to the car. 22.5km with 700m ascent in 5h40m. (S) | silveracorn_alan | 08/08/2021 |

10.7 mile walk from minor road west of Penygroes, followed sketchy paths on fairly easy terrain across the slopes to the col between Foel Cwmcerwyn and Carn Sian, went there-and-back to Foel Cwmcerwyn (previously bagged in 2005)then followed easy paths to the cairned summit of Carn Sian and the rocky tor top of Carn Menyn, from here headed north briefly getting stuck in the bogs of the Afon Clun-Maen and headed back to the car. Afterwards drove around to and bagged Frenni Fawr and Freni Fach. A few people about on this nice sunny/high cloud day, good views especially towards the Gower Peninsular. | DanTrig | 05/09/2020 |

From Foeldrygarn. Was a bit boggy. I climbed all the possible high points some were a scramble not easy in running gear and a strong wind. Saw Wheatear, Meadow Pipit and Skylarks. Also a Thrush. | isabelle | 05/04/2017 |
