Glorious day for a
quick hill but the Yell Show resulted in heavily booked ferries and we were almost last on to 3 of the 4 | Kiltie | 03/09/2022 |
Parked at Millfield Cemetery, through a gate and across little stone bridges to a stile, then up on short grass over the stony hillside. Followed a fence higher up, round past the 'Horns of Hagmark', then over a stile at HP66334 12832, and a short distance to the summit. Lovely day and great views. | LizH | 26/08/2021 |

14.50 to still capped in mist but thin enough to get view down the cliffs to the sea | vegibagger | 16/06/2019 |
From the cemetery where there is plenty of parking, inside and outside! | Chris Peart | 12/06/2019 |
This hill looks like a boring pancake from a distance, but it turns out to make a very enjoyable and wonderful walk. From Sclaten, on short dry grass studded with flowers, amongst little outcrops of beautiful orange rock. The summit gives wonderful views over the cliffs, and is formed from an ancient cairn. NOTE: once you've paid for the ferry to Yell, the onward ferries to Unst or Fetlar are free of charge if you travel the same day. | Gill | 21/08/2018 |
From end of minor road (HP 6480 1295). Direct to top, over stock fencing x3. | jonglew | 21/08/2018 |

From Clibberwick on a compass bearing in the clagg. saw down the cliffs but not much else. | Eddie | 12/03/2017 |
A really pleasant walk, starting from the parking area in Norwick at HP651145. There are places where it would be wise not to be too close to the cliff edge: there have been recent landslips, and clearly more are to come! | David Purchase | 06/06/2016 |
Hitched form Mid Yell with Lesley & Nick ( picked up by bus driver in his car on return from taking gas workers to the huge gas project on mainalnd who were being accommodated at The Camp). Magnificent cliff top walking in a Shetland heatwave (how lucky were we?),as we walked all around the top NE coast under a blue sky and back over Saxa Vord to collect our hire bikes to cycle back to Mid -Yell in the evening sunshine - with a long wait for ferry crossing ! (before leaving bikes with a local) and getting another lift for 7 miles back to the bod | Chris Pearson | 22/07/2014 |
