Set off from Eisgein when it was just light enough to see and along the track on the north side of Loch Sealg which is now pretty boggy and overgrown and one of the bridges isn't in great condition. Sun just rising as we crossed the bridge and over to the better track (the estate will go in by boat to the head of the loch). Bit of a flog from the end of it to the SE ridge of Mhor but improves as you gain height. Down the boulders and cut down to the col before Creag Fhraoich. Straight up Muaitheabhal then along the string of Tumps - Beinn na h-Uamha, Creag na Beirighe, Cleite Catriona and Sidhean nan Caaorach on wet tussocky ground (ground SE of Loch Raoineabhal was the worst). One deer fence to cross before Cleit a'Phiobaire and took me a while to get the dog under it. Descent from Caorach very easy and not tough and heathery at all. Great views away east to the mainland and off the Harris hills. 5hrs 40mins.StueyB17/09/2023
from Eisgein, track and path along N side of Loch Sealg, over FB and along excellent path to its end, then across to Abhainn Uaine and on to SE ridge to top. Descent by NE ridge and L bank of Abhainn Gleann Airigh an Domhnaill to FB. Thanks to Owen B.IanHHill02/06/2023
Plenty of space to park inside the entrance to the old track 326124, no gate. Walked through Eishken, quick chat with friendly estate workers. Surprisingly good track then path as per the 1:25,000, to 279098. Then headed to the south side of Abhainn Uaine to reach the SE shoulder.Owen B26/05/2023
Hill 3 of 7 on 3 day Pairc backpacking trip with Steve & Bobprwild17/09/2022
Down then up from Muaitheabhal. Great views of Pairc and hills to west. Walked out on mainly excellent path and rickety bridge to Eishken.lordtonult09/09/2022
From Ciopeagal Bheag to the Bealach then an easy ascent over Carn Ban with CM and Keith A. Great views. Direct descent to Scaladale Beag to meet Katy and her Wild Harris boat and back to Maraig. 9.7 miles and just over 7 hours walking.bolton15/09/2021
Excellent linear walk from Rhubha Briodog to Sgaladal Mhor including the Marilyns Caiteseal, Cipeagal Bheag & Beinn Mhor. Boat trip arranged by Gill (Katie from Scaladale Centre piloted the little boat out & back - 5 passengers). Really excellent adventure. I should have gone to Scaladal Bheag at end of walk - oops! - Katie came to the rescue, as, realizing my mistake I was heading for the correct pick up point.ger28/05/2019
Third and last hill of the day. Four out of five walked out west to the agreed pickup point, the other went somewhat further north!Jon F28/05/2019
From south on north traverse of West Parc using boat drop off and pick up. Cold wind but clear and mainly sunnyN.Morters28/05/2019
A wonderful linear walk courtesy of Katy, on the boat from the Scaladale Centre. Katy will drop off and pick up wherever you want. Dropped at Rubha Briodog and collected at Sgaladal Bheag for a great walk over Caiteseal, Cipeagal Bheag and Beinn Mhor via an interesting cairned path around the W end of Carn Ban. Direct line W back to the pick up and we only lost one. Easy going all the way, a top notch walk. Price reduces for more people and if you stay at the centre. Note that Scaladale is part of Lewis and Harris Youth Clubs Association, a registered charity, so your £70 fee for the boat helps to support the organisation.Gill28/05/2019
After Seaforth, Scaladale boat to Ceann Mor then straight to this summit, very windy. Then SW to other 2 Marilyns before pick up again back to Maraig. 18k.NormanW08/05/2019
Round of Beinn Mhor, Cipeagal and Caiteshal from by Kenmore. Used boat from Scaladale Centre. Pricey at £200 for being dropped off and collected 7 hours later so best to share. Did these 3 with Norman Wares. Descent from Carn Ban wasn't as bad as it looked on the map and ground was OK and not too boggy.AndrewFinnimore08/05/2019
Jenx and my 1400th Marilyn. Fifth Marilyn at end of a long hot sunny day, on top at 8.15pm watching the sun go down over the Uig hills. From Eishken with Goramol and Uishnis too.nordicstar11/05/2016
A massive day out. 13.5 hours to visit 5 Park Marilyns. Great sense of achievement on a glorious day. Lift across the loch from Eisgein. Uisinis, Gormol, Ciopeagal Bheag, Caiteseal, Beinn Mhor and walk out to Eisgein. Made it here before the sunset, then a long walk out. Just made it before dark at 11pm.jenx11/05/2016
4am start from Maaruig. Perfect calm conditions so used inflatable dinghy over to Kenmore, about 45min. Caiteshal, Cipeagal and Beinn Mhor = 6hr30.danpquinn26/07/2015
Completed with Gormol from estate houses. Mist above 300m.Campbell Singer08/04/2015
Parked at the bridge before using the track to the south of the loch to the sheep folds. Then up SSW to the first cairn then onto Mor Mhonadh then Guineamol before the second Marilyn Muitheabhal and then the third Marilyn Beinn Mhor before returning on a lower route to the start.Dugswell224/09/2014

From the end of the road at Eisgein, up on good track above the loch for a mile. Footpath continued for 2 miles to west end of Loch. Over a footbridge below a waterfall and a 3' wide excellent path uphill to its end and 100m more over wet moor to the famous fish wind indicator. 11.30. A long mile on rising wet grassy sludge to a 500' bealach. Another long mile over deer grass to the south ridge of the hill. Scattered grey rocks appeared and to the top at 13.30. An ancient substantial well-made cairn marked the top. My seventh and last Marilyn of this name. (to Muaithabhal)arranc10/06/2011
