| On a non firing day. From the viewpoint car park over Mynydd Eppynt then along the military road until nearly there. Turned left along track and barrier then right along another track for a short way before going up to trig in roped area. | No firing at Sennybridge on Boxing Day so, as much of my planned route was on tarmac, I decided to do it as a run/walk - in shorts. Parked at 96337 46721 and ran out to Pen Tri Chrugiau. Turned round and a blizzard started. Luckily it had stopped by the time I got to the monument so I headed off and also bagged Twyd Rhyd Car and Twuyd Rhyd Car S. Top. | Fourth of an Epynt Eight session. Cycled back from Twyn Rhyd-Car to track. Back up to perfect Range Perimeter Road. Used this west until the point it dropped off the plateau. Then left, right on a deeply rutted track (one puddle came over my knees while cycling). The trig is just out of sight from the track and protected by a small fence. | From red kite viewing area (SN 9633 4671). Range quiet. Public RoW shown on map, but not much on the ground. HP at a saucer barrow with trig pilla atop. With Douglas, Alex, Adrian and Tony J. | Parked at viewpoint car park then used RoW from B4519 towards Pen Tri Chrugiau but very little to follow and would have been better on the military road.
