Logged Descriptions  (logged by 26 users)ByDate of Ascent
As Rob Rees. Summit field still heavily poached!PGCE06/12/2023
HP is unmarked on ridge in cow pasture, steeply up muddy terrain from track/ RoW to NW. Pitch black, a few stars and valley lights. Continued to nature reserve, Strawberry Cottage, where car was parked near Queen's Head pub. 19 mile, 6 tump walk on a gorgeous autumnal sunny day.Denise 25/11/2021
From the track to Strawberry Wood Barn. Ascent without problem over cow pasture with cows. Look down E to valley lights from ridge line, feels like the 'dead of night' yet only 18:00.RichardM25/11/2021
Copped whilst mountain biking at BMCC, not the tallest around and some nice looking hills to the south east and west.FelixClayhill08/07/2021
Climbed up from Strawberry Cottage by the Honddu. Up through the nature reserve, following a bw and then the former Beacons Way. On the ridge reached mountain biking grounds, then crossed bwf to summit in heavily poached field.Rob Rees07/01/2021
I tried to do this from the east and it was horrendous. The worst combination of brambles, bracken and gorse in over 3000 hills. Easy from the NE along the line of the ridge. Just pasture.clivevilla29/09/2020
Parked at Trawellwyd. Along fp and then through gate into summit pasture covered in snow. Great viewpoint.Campbell Singer02/02/2019
Along the fp in the company of hundreds of muddy sheep. Through gate and into summit field with snow and more sheep. Great views.Barbara Singer02/02/2019
Offa's Dyke walk. Pandy to Black Mountain South Top, llanthony Priory, Beacons Way to Hatterall hill, Graig, Pen LLwygy to Pandy.stephenbuda04/08/2018
From North, ROW then gate to ascend by woods to HP in pasture. Good views.PeterD16/07/2017
From Strawberry Cottage, headed up past Strawberry Barn. Tried from the northern side of the wood at first but didn't fancy walking up through a field of sheep and newly born lambs, so backtracked so the southern side of the woods and went up from there.Wheelsy18/02/2017
From Trawellwyd on RoW initially then up rough sheep pasture. Walked full length of the ridge, SW end in woodland is a bike circuit; NE pasture. Not really able to tell where HP is, but plumped for the pasture end.jonglew02/11/2016
