OMC Christmas Meet at the club cottage, with Gill Short, she parked at entrance to Auchessan Farm. Walked up past the farm, north to the hydro works (intake) then an intermittent path up toward the saddle between Beinn nan Imirean and Meall Glas. Then we cut up onto Meall Glas, while avoiding the icy waterfalls down the rocks. When exposed to the northern wind on the summit, it was cold, but the southern slope was generally a light snow only with the sunshine shining. We returned the same way, dry all day, once off the summit ut wasn't too cold, 6:20hrs all in.chillyman809/12/2022
A day of changeable weather, nice morning with great views of autumn colours in Glen Lochay, then low cloud moved in, rain at times, completed the circuit over Meall Glas with long walk out, almost dry and within sight of the car, in time for another soaking.Cumbrianexile24/10/2022
Started at Auchessan on the A85 and then along the Allt Riobain and all its lovely waterfalls up to the dam. Then Sgiath Chrom, Sgiath Chuil. Out of the clouds down the steep slopes to Lairig a Churain and then up to Beinn Cheathaich and into the clouds again, along the gentle ridge to Meall Glas and back down to the start. No view on the tops at all today. Started raining on the descent but otherwise weather was fine.tsharp11/09/2022
Solo anti-clockwise round of Sgiath Chuil & Meall Glas from Glen Dochart. Parked down by Auchessan in thick fog - car was showing -1.5c a quick walking pace soon warmed me up. Wasn't long before I was above the fog with nothing but blue skies and a rising sun - was down to base-layer on top by the time I reached the first summit (Sgiath Chuil) 2.5hrs after setting off. ~350m re-ascent up Meall Glas felt more tiring than expected - had to skirt some slushy snow patches but no difficulties. Descent route off Meall Glas through boggy terrain was not pleasant, but as soon as the path appeared, it was a nice warm walk back down.. total time from car back to car - 5h 55minmproudfoot27/03/2022

With Rob. Weather good In conjunciton with Sgiath Chuill and Meal Glas. Started at Auchessan walked thru farm to track to featureless grassy slopes to rocky col and up to Meall Glas (960m) Traversed Beinn Cheathaich down to bealach at head of two burns running away north and south before climbing track to Meall a Churain and Sgriath Chuil. We descended over Sgiath Chrom. There was a discussion on whether the trip would have been shorter from Kenknock which was never resolved but reviewed when we rode up the glen later in year as part of An Turas Mor trip.david.walker4029/06/2021

Debs & Talisker. Parked before the farm, down to the rickety bridge at Badour, up the side of the deer fence (there are gates to go through the enclosure) and up to the col. Path up to the summit then back along the ridge to the lower top then off the nose to pick up the track. Waded the river at the ford.Mountain Goat17/06/2019
Sgiath Chuil (921m) and Meall Glas (959m), accessed from Auchessan Farm between Killin and Crianlarich. It was overcast for most the day, until around 3pm when the sun poked through, but the initial mist cleared on both summits, which was ace. No paths to speak of so a real bogfeast all day, 8:20hrs all in.chillyman828/04/2019

Solo fr Auchlyne, running along long landrover track then half-running on rough ground. Cold in wind on tops, hot & sunny in valley. More overcast and less good pictures. Left car 11.15am after big breakfast at accomm'n (Ewich House) then coffee in Killin; first summit (Sgiath Chuil) 1pm. After this 2nd summit, long run back, and to big old hotel in Killin - with fire alarm, so we stood outside in the drizzle for 15 min at 2.30am! (So I pootled back S as it rained in Scotland the next day.)NorfolkPT2109/07/2015

Lots of avalanche signs, where cornices had caused slides up to 100m long/20m wide. Took elongated way up, unsure of snow conds descending from Greatrix so eventually went down way I'd come upgeoffreybbb11/03/2014
