8 mile solo run from NT Tredegar House CP .. took in The Mount and Pen Fynnon Oer .. up the gravel lane from ST 273845 .. only needs a short diversion from the RoW .. onto Penylan lane to the stile at ST266860 (its well hidden) .. up the RoW with diversion to fort and top no need to climb fences as gates in right places ..nice fort .. back tracked to lane then RoW by school to pick up cycle route to Tredegar Parkmilejunkie23/07/2023

From the footpath which runs behind Bassaleg school, up through Court Wood, southwest through two fields and onto the wooded hill fort, then across the field to the high point. Lots of barbed wire fences to climb: not an easy hill to access.Mariana Trench28/05/2019

From sw, natural hp appears to be pasture ST 27429 86249, rampart higher but obviously manmade; pasture to W ST 27316 86239 approx equal with pasture to ERHW16/10/2016
Parked at the Cwm Hedd fishing lake, not marked on my OS 1:25k map (ST 2649 8605). Pleasant walk over wild flower meadow initially. HP either on hill fort ramparts at ST 27356 86241 (118m) or in sheep pasture 80m E (117m).jonglew23/06/2016
