Parked at Penhow church for a circuit of Carrow Hill, High Grove and The Knoll. | PGCE | 21/04/2023 |
From the Knoll, picked up path then landrover track. | cjo | 09/04/2023 |
Having visited Salisbury yesterday there was a nice symmetry about climbing this hill. Crossed bwf (unnecessarily) eventually found path to top but much wind blown fallen trees to clamber over or around. Descended back to col and NE back to road junction, though partially diverted by deep and swift flowing brook near The Mill. | Rob Rees | 06/03/2022 |
Third of 3 Tumps by bike from David Broome Event Centre. From Penhow Castle & Church, via The Knoll. Grassy / overgrown track leads from col towards hill. Track improves through more use nearer the summit. | Minto | 27/07/2019 |
From The Knoll, scrambled down the slope to the col, then along the footpath which becomes a track leading over the high point | Mariana Trench | 12/04/2019 |

Ascended from pretty church at St Bride's Netherwest which has 13th c origins. Picked up a track within the wild wood ( pheasant feeding stations) which went over the indistinct high point, then continued north to the Knoll. | Denise | 01/03/2017 |
From SE along edge of woods then finally wide track across level summit. Woodland. | RichardM | 01/03/2017 |
Parked at about 428902, went up a track between houses which led upwards, along a field edge and then a path through the woods to hp of Carrow Hill, back down then up row, left up pasture to wood edge then up pathless to hp of the Knoll, came back down out of the woods, followed the wood edge and picked up paths almost all the way to Salisbury Hill hp. | clivevilla | 22/02/2017 |
