Parked near the Indian restaurant, crossed the A48, went a little way W of roundabout and over gate and followed field edges. Rather unpleasant today as the edges were overgrown and the field crop was tightly-spaced 2m high maize.milimana23/08/2023
From A48 roundabout, over gate then along field boundary.cjo09/04/2023
Up from A48 to cross the field to the hedge bank.Rob Rees11/02/2023
Parked to west of roundabout on A48. 2 gates and north across field to another gate and HP by hedge.PeterD21/07/2022
Parked in lane at ST 50639 90570. I knocked at Parkwall Farm for permission but realised the house and farm was deserted (derelict) so sallied forth for a gentle stroll across sheep pasture.DC11main03/07/2022
Third of three Tumps by bike from the David Broom Event Centre. Cycled up tarmac drive to Bentley Green house which is being extended. After answering the lady owner, Where have you come from? I was granted permission and directed across the yard, to turn right by big tree and along the hedge. Met presumed husband on a ride-on-mower. Where have you come from? Again - seems a popular question hereabouts. All very friendly, and incredulous.Minto29/07/2019
From the A48 west of the Parkwall roundabout, up the farm entrance road, stopping at Bentley Green house to obtain permission from the rather bemused owner Marjorie, then up to the top of the industrial estate, and finally right along the hedge to the high point (though I agree that the farmland to the east looks higher).Mariana Trench05/07/2019
Sought permission from farmer/ industrial estate owner. Delightful man. Intrigued, so accompanied me to the hp. Thought it was a mad hobby but harmless and got people out into the fresh air. My opinion exactly. Wish all landowners were as accommodating.Campbell Singer20/01/2019
Both summits visited, but didn't try to get between the two cross country. Asked permission for both, which was readily granted.ngthack27/09/2018
Parked in first layby on the L after the roundabout and followed field edges to the top at ST503907. The GPS pinged to say I had arrived while I was still on the edge of the arable field but to me the highest point seemed to be in the pasture on the other side of the hedge. Then followed field edges to the listed summit at ST497905 which was a nondescript bit of arable land. Met a slightly chubby old boy in a blue boiler suit and flat cap when I wandered back past the farmyard cum industrial complex. When I explained my purpose for being there he said oh crikey, not another one! He kept asking me the point and shaking his head although he was quite nice about it really. He couldn't believe I had travelled there from Bath and mentioned someone had even come all the way from Hereford. I didn't tell him we were the local ones and that others had probably come from the other side of the country. He said anyone could visit if they phoned ahead but I'm afraid he didn't give me his numberHerbert Anchovy28/04/2017
Parked in a layby on the A48, walked through the industrial estate then right to listed hp. Then field edges to the other possible hp. Then it started to unravel. The closest eay back to the A48 was through the farmyard and it was ankle deep in slopp slurry. Then, as I approached my car, the farmer was waiting. He had had three phone calls but he turned out to be a friendly chap.clivevilla22/02/2017
Parked on A48 verge at entrance to small ind estate. Past buildings and across flat newly planted field to HP.arranc23/11/2016
From quarry entrance (ST 49145 90260). Through quarry and woodland to arable fields for OS 53m spot height. Ran out of time to investigate further, other than road junc at Severn Farm which gave me same elevation. Will have to revisit if tamperers find a new HP.jonglew20/10/2016
Took RHW's logs with me and these proved useful.Dusty24/07/2016
Revisit for remaining summit candidates. ENE summit approx at hedge junction, level area. Muddy approach from SE in dark, may be easier from S. 52 spot at road jct has higher ground to W opposite house, could be close to 53m. 50co E of road unlikely to be above 52m, level arable field.RHW04/12/2015
From WNW, summit is level grassy area E of farm. Noting Adrian's ENE summit alternative, left unticked for future visit. Coincidentally we both visited same day.RHW31/10/2015
Potential summit relocation. Ground above Parkwall Farm is higher than official summit. Then noticed the other 2 50m contours have higher ground. South from Severn Farm is highest point in arable field.Adrian31/10/2015
