13 mile hike starting across the river from shillmoor. From yarspath. Down a rough bit of heather at first before reaching logging tracks which made it a lot more pleasantThe-Z-Man01/01/2024

Combined with Inner Hills and Sneer Hill to west. Thankfully there is a trod down the side of the wood at NT 9023 1244 - steep. Visited The Middle, Middle Hill and Kyloe Shin first - then Nettlehope Hill - finally, Saughy Hill. Middle Hill had a lovely grassy ATV to summit. Middle Hill is felled but head high grass. Good ATV/path to top Kyloe Shin from NT 8738 1200. Dropped off S managing to avoid bracken, river easy to cross. Walked round to good ATV from NT 8801 1051 to ascend Nettlehope Hill. Crossing to Saughy hill boggy and tussocky. Return via Clennell Street pasture ATV to verge parking by FB at NT 9283 0706carole engel21/07/2019
We took the track from Shillmoor over Copper Snout to Saughgy Hill, then a 4x4 track on to Nettlehope Hill, before joining a forestry track heading north through recently felled and newly planted plantation - popping out just shy of Yarnspath Law (heavy heather until reaching a fence line with side path). Westwards and over the Usway burn by a footbridge just north of height 345. Return route was along good tracks, taking in The Middle, Kyloe Shin (great name), Shillhope Law, and Inner Hill. Gentle decline back to the start. Lovely walk, 4 hrs.summitter24/05/2019
With Jo, from Shillmoor: track alongside Usway Burn to The Castles, then onto Nettlehope Hill and Saughy Hill, and returning down Copper Snout. Weather; cloudy with cold wind at first, sunnier and warmer later. Good visibility.amblerbob28/04/2019
Only came over the top here as there were a load of cattle on the path we wanted to be on, so diverted over here.Walker Dan23/05/2017
Dry underfoot for short walk from Saughy Hill. Flattish summit with small flat stone between two grass tufts. From 'Clennell Street' crossed to Sneer Hill, which looked a nice grassy bump a short hop away - hah!Aye Jimmy05/06/2016
Wedder Leap, Shilhope Law, Saughy Hill (NB FB on old 1:25,000 map at Batailshiel Haugh does not exist, but fortuitously there was a flood-wrecked bridge wedged across the river slightly north of here at the western edge of the enclosed land just south of The Castles - 877104) Nettlehope Hill, Yarnspath Law, The Middle, Middle Hill, Kyloe Shin, Barrowburn Tea Room closed at 4pm before I got there, Wedder Leapijpowell15/04/2016

W Jenx, after Shillhope Law, continue to Kyloe Shin, then down to cross carefully the Usway Burn before tracking river downstream and out forest to gain Nettlehope Burn and Saughy Hills, down Copper Snout back to start.nordicstar15/02/2014
From the parking area south of Barrowburn taking in Shillhope and Saughty Hill first. BEWARE. The bridges over Usway Burn (pronounced Oozy)were not in situ and I had to make a long detour south to find one.moorsman16/08/2012
