PW and fence to the top.robertphillips14/12/2023
From CG to N (NY 8244 9172). PW initially then followed fenceline. Deceptive top, the 364m (trig pillar) and 365m spot heights to S look higher - they both hand levelled, the 366m by photogrammetry... hmmm.jonglew02/05/2022
Diversion off Pennine Way, along fence from Whitley Pike.PGCE20/04/2022
Room for a car at the cattle grid on the road to the N. Along the Pennine Way to Whitley Pike then followed the fence > Gray Stone. The Sundaysight road to the W is quite decent now. Not metalled but the potholes have been filled in and it's fine if you take it easy.JohnR27/05/2021
From cattle grid to the north. PW to Whitley Pike then fence line across the moor to HP. Continued on to the Trig then NW to pick up the road back to the car.Andrew Simmons22/05/2021
Detour from Pennine Way (on a glorious winter day) during a circular walk including Midhopelaw Pike and Padon Hill.RobB30/12/2020
WARNING - the road mentioned below is NOT drive-able. Never been so scared in my life - the pot-holes are HORRENDOUS and no option to turn round. Never again.carole engel18/06/2019
Firstly, despite what the roadsign suggests (Road to Sundaysight only), the road to the west is driveable all the way through. A tad bumpy but no problems in a standard car. Best parking however, is alongside the cattle grid where the Pennine Way crosses the road to the north (344m). Follow the flagged PW as far as the first fence and then bear right along the fence to the summit. 1.52km return, 45 minutes.moorsman03/08/2017
Wet and miserable plod out along the fences from the cattle grid.Moorponder10/07/2017
Do not attempt to drive on road to West via Sundaysight Farm - VERY rough north of farmcarole engel19/08/2016
With Jo, circular walk from cattle grid to the north. PW to fence, then across moor to top, continuing onto Blackmoor Skirt trig before returning along minor road to west. Weather; cloudy, good visibility.amblerbob15/05/2016
Same approach as RW/CG, cattle grid to NNW where Pennine Way crosses. Thought tussocky ground 8m SW from twin posts looked highest point.Aye Jimmy25/02/2016
From NNW, cattle grid: saddle between summits boggy and tussocky. Explored the (rough) road W of hill but failed to find parking. Nice morning, back to car with newly risen sun on my back. Probably my 2nd time here as visited trig from same start point.RHW30/11/2014
From Cattle grid at 824,917. Along Pennine Way till Whiteley Pike then right along fence to summit. 828,905 looks about right for high point - there are two very large fence-posts visible from a long way off. I carried on to the trig 364m - the view to the west is good from there.Crib Goch02/02/2014
Probably visited summit en route to the trig pillar (Blackmoor Skirt) - this occurred to me on revisiting in 2014...RHW16/11/2002
