Starting from the small parking area at Stonehaugh. Mountain bike most of the trail. Stopped at Grid 7536-8025 and followed a faint path through the trees to the Trig point ,must have been freshly painted white, its roughly 50m in off the track. Next followed the forestry tracks down to Bell Crags. Large steel gate locked and fenced off to the top but was only around 50m or so to the top in distance and two or three meters in high. From there followed track back to Stonehaugh.smocks and denims26/02/2024
-1 degree (max 2 later) sunny spells and light snow, westerlies. Walked on forestry roads from Harelaw to 7538 8025 then NW through obvious lull in the trees to trig, then easily to summit.Wycombe Wanderer19/01/2023
Cycled from Pundershaw. Track become overgrown at Blackaburn Lough. Leaving bike there a short walk to Trig and onto the HPAndrew Simmons16/04/2022
From the E. Good parking 1.5km E of Pundershaw just before the 'no unauthorised vehicles beyond this point' sign - ie 500m SW of the previous junction. Forest roads and tracks via Blackburn Lough to immediately E of the TP. Up the track/firebreak to the TP then through deep heather and moss but relatively openly planted conifers to the high point.JohnR28/01/2022
New small cairn just a little higher than nearby old larger cairnAdrian18/07/2020
By bike from Churnsike via Green bothy, after Muckle Samuel's Crags. Good tracks for cycling.mae15/08/2019
Parked NY 7996 8030. Biked to junction NY 7848 7980 as track deteriorated. However, it does improve and would have been bike-able to NY 7656 7955, after which track is very overgrown with tall grass.carole engel28/07/2019
Up from Roughside bothy via Allerybank and Cairnglastenhope. On to Skipjack hide.Eddie19/06/2019
With Jo, from parking space at NY 80531 80754: along road to Watson’s Walls to Watch Crags trig, then forest tracks to Cairnglastenhope and then Greenside. Returned to car along forest tracks past Pundershaw. Weather; sunny, warm, good visibility.amblerbob30/04/2019
Very very small cairn on trees/tussocks/old brashmaknipe06/03/2019
Route exactly as moorsman - thanks for details. Summit at NY 75061 79749 is now being enveloped by young conifers, but still accessible. 3 hours return including half an hour for bait at the little bird hide beside Blackaburn Lough - a nice spot. Spotted a red squirrel just beyond the Lough.Crib Goch19/01/2019
Turned off the minor road which forms part of the Border County Ride onto a short stretch of public road running SW. There is a parking place alongside the point where it becomes private at NY8006 8036 (alt 169m). Although there are notices prohibiting vehicles proceeding further, there are, in fact, two tolerated car parking areas slightly further along this drive. No gates for a couple of miles so it would be possible to drive further if you dare risk it (I didn't). Good forest track to 200m beyond Pundershaw where it turns sharply south to cross the river. After 200m go through the locked barrier and head west along a slightly less solid path. Follow this to beyond Blackaburn Loch where it suddenly deteriorates in a vegetated path. The top is 100m straight ahead in a cleared area after the path turns sharp north. 12.65km, 2hr 30 mins, 651m ascentmoorsman04/08/2017
Had prepared myself for a long walk to Coom Rigg from Pundershaw doing this on the way, found forest road open so used it. Greenside summit in felled area, with a definite highest point for a change.Aye Jimmy28/02/2016
Walk from near Pundershaw. Forestry gates all locked, picked up trig at Cairnglastenhope on the way.Walker Dan01/04/2013
