Large parking area in South Middleton (alt 171m). A very good route leads .... surpringly ..... to withn 50m of the summit. Follow the road south to where it turns east. Here, turn right and just follow it to alongside the summit. Agree with AJ that the summit is the grassy area outside the wood. Met the farmer, he had no problems with me using the access track. Exactly 2km, 25 minutes. | moorsman | 31/07/2017 |
From South Middleton, track SE keeping L at fork to cattle grid then R. Summit just outside wood at top in long tussocky grass and nettles. | Aye Jimmy | 18/06/2016 |
From n. RoW then farm track almost to tussocky summit at edge of young trees as per CG grid ref | RHW | 12/03/2016 |
Easy walk on RoW from South Middleton, then direct line to summit, which is now planted with conifers which look about 10 years old. Was able to push through to what appeared to be the high point at NT 99892,22532. However, I have doubts about the P30 status of this hill. Drop is only 30m and col grid reference looked wrong to me - ground to the west of the hill appeared higher. Tump-master advised. | Crib Goch | 09/10/2015 |
