Massive car park, free parking and free entry, toilets and cafe on site with good paths all the way to the summit. However, enjoy this hill and wander round, don't just head up to the top, there are some fabulous views from this little un'. | matty1971b | 08/08/2023 |
Nice area | Alan Caine | 06/08/2023 |
1/7 Medley of small hills in a sunny afternoon. Parked in the free car park, then walked around this well designed attraction and wildlife area. Something positive from the former opencast mine. | silveracorn_alan | 30/05/2023 |

Free car park. Lovely little spot. Solo. | Dangerous Dave | 17/12/2021 |
Climbed while running the Northumberlandia orienteering course. | Christo1979 | 04/07/2021 |
Well, this is only the second naked lady that I have encountered in all my walking days (The first was a coven of naked witches celebrating the solstice on top of Latrigg above Keswick). Massive car park, including electric charging points, and good paths all the way to the summit. However, enjoy this hill and wander round, don't just head up to the top. Excellent viewpoint but marred by huge construction activity in the surrounding area. | moorsman | 02/07/2021 |
Car Park and cafe. The spring flowers are very attractive in the sunshine. A lot of activity in the open cast and they're nearly finished filling in the big hole. | JohnR | 10/06/2021 |
from parking area, easy walk up & round spirals, interesting recumbent ?art feature, V warm & dry. | apricorum | 10/06/2021 |
Early morning so very quiet. Interesting contrast of views from the top! | Bramley | 24/05/2021 |

Did the head and the paps - the right one seems more pert. | summitter | 21/09/2019 |
1 of 3 on 33 mile bike ride from ashington to sunderland. Approached from the east from the a1068 followed network of footpaths to summit. Rather busy for a Thursday but great views | The-Z-Man | 01/08/2019 |
Delightful landscape sculpture but the view over the active open caste is horrifically compelling | Colin Crawford | 25/03/2019 |
Being from Cramlington, this is a local Tump for Me, took G&T Illing to visit the feature. | JulieB | 22/12/2018 |
Inbetween heavy downpours, quick ascent from car park just before dusk. Different. | PeterD | 28/11/2018 |
Strange but compelling place that makes for an interesting stop on a long haul up the A1. Still quite busy even in pouring rain. Walked the full length of the ridge with my wife & daughter - my daughter slipped & fell on her bum on a particularly muddy bit of Northumberlandia's legs, leaving her looking like she had dysentery all day | wheresthepath | 07/04/2018 |
Hard to find an easier hill but pleasant and of interest. The open cast mining is impressive. By chance my 2000th UK hill.
Is there a list of wheelchair friendly or wheelchair possible hills? | peebs | 24/02/2018 |
Repeat visit w Bryher. Cold north wind blowing, used the paths to gain top cutting the odd corner. Café not open Mon-Tues which was a shame. Free car park | nordicstar | 13/11/2017 |
A pleasant diversion from travelling south. | summitsup | 03/10/2017 |
More interesting than I thought it would be. Spoiled a bit by the view. | Martin R | 25/04/2017 |
a tump bagging day in Northumbria having stayed in Alnwick. Strange one this, does it count being man made? | Lou | 10/07/2016 |
Easy saunter from the car park. The face path which leads to the summit is closed due to unstable ground, however the blue tape barrier can be stepped over. Good views from top including the massive Shotton opencast workings, which will be complete in 2018, and landscaped thereafter. | Crib Goch | 21/06/2016 |
Large car park and visitors' centre to S. A lot of work's gone into modifying this place; shame that there's a noisy and busy opencast quarry next door. | Aye Jimmy | 21/04/2016 |
From s, car park, viewpoint on face already showing her age needing a face lift. Open dawn til dusk. Police really don't like overnight parking I was once evicted. | RHW | 12/03/2016 |
Interesting concept. Now not supposed to walk on face of the Lady.Seems to be cracking up(wrinkles?).Open-cast mine still a mess. With Oscar. | catman | 13/02/2016 |

On a visit to Northumberlandia after a training course in the area | mcbiydw2 | 07/10/2014 |
Morning walk around this excellent man-made landform. Open-cast site next door and industrial landscape to north-east an interesting counterpoint. | JOHNS | 06/09/2014 |
Went up here not long after the slag heal was sculpted, reported on the Yahoo group at time. Noticed been added to the database so ticking it for that alone. Nice feature, interesting collection of bumps. No visitor centre then, from the Snowy Owl CP, date estimated | nordicstar | 20/02/2013 |
