From Snishival, up Beinn Mor, Beinn Choradail, Hecla, dog-leg to Beinn na Laire. Round to NW ridge of Hecla and descend, returning straight to start | phil70 | 29/08/2023 |
Beinn Choradail and Hecla circuit. Parked in small off road area by bridge just S of memorial. Started on track at N end of Loch Dobhrain and continued up Gleann Dorchaidh to reach Bealach Sheiliosdail. From here climbed to summit of Beinn Choradail, descended under impressive cliffes and climbed to Hecla. Continued to Beinn na Laire and contoured to W ridge of Hecla. Descent to Tobha Mor via Na Creagan and Thatharsal and some road walking back to car. Hot and sunny, great views. | RobertP | 12/06/2023 |
from Ben Chorodail. Descent via W ridge and over minor hills. | IanHHill | 31/05/2023 |
Dropped off at the end of the 768347 peat road which we followed for a bit then cut over the wet moor to Maoladh Creag nam Fitheach and up Choradail. Down and up Hecla though the mist just failed to clear (it had been clear on Choradail). Down via Laire, Beinn Sgalabhat and Beinn na h-Aire. Onto an ATV track at the col below Maol Martaig which was useful in terms of navigation but very wet. We were glad to get to the proper old track by the old sheilings at 833381 and this led nicely back to our car at the Sgioport road end. Hecla was my final Scottish Simm so a shame not to get a view from it. | StueyB | 11/05/2023 |
From 820388 via the HF. With CM. Ken Naismith was on the summit having come over from the west. Onwards to Beinn Choradail. | bolton | 06/09/2022 |
From undulating bealach with BC, easy route choice on this clear day to summit. Heard voices and saw two walkers approaching. Waited and met Bolton and Chris Meadows. Tiring walk out with 2 tricky burn crossings. 6 hours 40 minutes for the 2 hills | Coinneach | 06/09/2022 |
From Beinn Choradail. Went out and back to bag Beinn na Laire then a very long pathless walk back to the A865. Solo. | Dangerous Dave | 03/06/2022 |

From Beinn Choradail, fine views occasional snow squall | N.Morters | 06/05/2021 |
Beinn Mhor must be one of the UK's best hills; just superb. Easy going on a decent path after the bogs, a narrow summit ridge and jaw-dropping views. What more could you want? On to Beinn Choradail, dodging many small crags on the way down, then an easy climb up a steep grassy rake to Feith Bealach and steep up to the top. Back S a short way, then the easy descent NW on steep, dry grass. The bealach with Thacla is a pain in the bum, many outcrops to weave around. Easy climb up Thacla, steep, obvious route in clear weather. The walk out was a bit of a character forming route march to beat sunset and failed. Correct route to the larger lochan but missed the track to Mill Croft in the dark. B*gger... | Gill | 14/10/2020 |

Took in this summit as a brief diversion whilst walking from Usinish bothy to Howmore hostel. Islands of the St Kilda group were clearly visible sixty miles or more away out to the northwest. | Alex C | 01/06/2012 |
W Jenx, on from Bheinn Choradail, via complex Bealach in snow showers to east ascent slopes, grand views back to Beinn Mhor. Odd geocache on top, near to fine cairn. Back down NW ridge to 400m and easily across moor back to A865 and loch Dobhrain. 6hr cir | nordicstar | 14/04/2012 |
Up from Howmore hostel, not too bad along the ridge from Hatharsal but hellish in the glen to the south. Clear day with big views. Register at summit. | fasgadh | 11/04/2012 |

Taking the back route off Ben Corodale as we didn't feel like a rock climb we circled back under the rock outcrop before heading down to the next col. Top again a very airy point with good views albeit hazy of the string vest appearance to the north. | garyhoney | 08/08/2004 |
