My fourth Wainwright round of Pike O'Blisco and Lingmoor Fell from the ODG. More challenging and interesting were diversions en route to Wrynose Fell (Long Crag), Blake Rigg, Kettle Crag, Side Pike, and Oakhowe Crag along the way. Quite rough and often pathless ground. So only 16 km with 1100m ascent, but it still took me 8 hours to complete. A lovely sunny morning with stunning views of Bowfell et al, but a chill with low cloud and scattered showers came in during the afternoon. | silveracorn_alan | 05/11/2023 |

The actual top is nice but I spoilt the day by going down to the north. This was bad as got into juniper and steep ground. | Alan Moore | 24/05/2023 |

Quite the heather bashing experience but lovely little top once I'd made it over. Small cairn on top. Gorgeous views to the snowy higher mountains around. Solo | Fionalevey | 13/03/2021 |

Climbed from New Dungeon Ghyll via Blea Tarn and then on up to summit of Lingmoor. A lovely walk before Christmas but very cold. Amazing to have quiet Langdale valley although plenty of walkers out for the day, many pubs and hotels covid closed! | nickywood1 | 24/12/2020 |
Good concealed parking spot for 1 car 40m E. of cattle grid at NY 2897 0510 - E. along road for about 350m, up RoW to col & then good path to stile at 297052 - Over stile & then NE on faint path which contours round to Lingmoor Tarn - Followed trod around N. end of tarn & then a short climb up to the summit rock & cairn. From Little Langdale Pass, Oakhowe Crag, Harry Place, Silver How, Lang How, Swinescar Pike, Little Castle Howe, Castle Howe, Great Castle Howe, Whitegill Crag, Stickle Tarn, Pike Howe. Descent of N ridge of Oakhowe Crag not recommended - unavoidable band of snail pace FIGHT through a jungle of Juniper. | Isbjorn | 02/10/2020 |

15 degrees, glorious weather with Miranda. Just enough cooling breeze. Via nice rocky ascent of Side Pike, then adventurous path bypassing the crags. Good to be on an unfrequented summit in the middle of such a busy area. Picked up the path marked on the 1:25,000 map from the tarn on the way back. | Wycombe Wanderer | 07/09/2019 |

From Blea Tarn car park - Lingmoor Fell, Oakhow Crag, then Side Pike, followed by a cold pint in the ODG, which looks as though it has not changed since we were last there in the mid-80s. Fab! | summitter | 25/04/2019 |

With Jenx, Bryher and Timmo. From high point of road by cattle grid to West of Side Pike, traversing path taken to south of SP and join ascending path to col. Good tracks to Lingmoor, then heather thrash but downhill to Oakhowe col and climb to top, excellent viewpoint for Langdale. More heather and bracken around to wall then down to col below the crags of Side Pike. Nice skirting path through the boulder squeeze to gain path to summit of Side Pike. Easily down to car, some good easy scrambling on a fine circuit. | nordicstar | 23/08/2017 |
A nice walk around on Lingmoor then over to Side Pike. | jenx | 23/08/2017 |

A landmark hill for me. One week into my 70th year and my final 400m English hill. This followed on from Tarn Crag, my final 500m summit. Still able to climb without any aches or pains, but for how long I wonder. Still plenty more 300m plus hills to go at now. On to my 80th birthday (I hope!!!) | moorsman | 07/04/2017 |
The-Z-Man | 10/02/2017 | |
A strange day emotionally being as this was my last day on the hills before my 60th birthday in a few days time. Six new DoBh summits in the bag on a wet and dreary day. So how do i fare for over 45 years of bashing the hills? Lots of aches and pains, especially when i try to get out of the car after driving home. Knees ok but the occasional twinge, niggles away. Arthritis in my ankles can make walking on stony ground quite painful. Fitness has dropped but i do like my beer and food. Having said that a five hour round trip today over difficult ground so things can't be that bad! Heres to the next decade and many more summits. | thenomad | 10/01/2017 |
From Lingmoor Fell. Rough walk through deep snow and heather with Paul and Alf.Nice top great views Stunning day. A foot of snow on the fells from 800 foot. Wonder why Tim Synge missed this off his massive list? | mick | 20/11/2016 |
