High Doat and Castle Crag from Rosthwaite.PGCE04/09/2023
A pleasant afternoon walk in Upper Borrowdale. Starting from the NT car park I went up High Doat, incredibly for the first time, with a splendid view from the summit. Then north along the terrace track and for a fourth ascent of Castle Crag. Back along the River Derwent made it a delightful round. 7km with 300m ascent in 2h 20m.silveracorn_alan27/08/2023
An afternoon walk with Clare. Took some good photos on the summit.Dangerous Dave16/05/2023
Ascended from Seatoller on a brilliant, sunny winter's day. Wished that I still had the energy for the high tops. I found the start a bit confusing with many paths and walls and the summit not visible. Eventually sorted it out and was rewarded with a fine view.JohnW07/03/2023
My first time up here in a few months. A sunny afternoon with light snow on the ground. Solo.Dangerous Dave16/01/2023
Rock out crop in grassy sheep pasture. Abney used as several outcrops. Still , mild , grey , but ridges out of cloud and helvellyn tops dusted with snow. From Rosthwaite NT car park. Expensive unless you are a member. £5 in adjacent community hall carpark.Denise 31/12/2022
From Rosthwaite village hall car park(£5/day). Field path to Longthwaite then circuitous anti-clockwise approach to summit, path all the way. High point rock outcrop in grass. Good views.RichardM31/12/2022
