From Ambleside. Toddd Crag, Fox Howe, Lynty Scar and Loughrigg Fell. Lovely area to wander around despite constant drizzle and cloud. Lots of paths/tracks going to every Crag and outcrop had me wandering of course, but there was alwaysmart079714/02/2024

2nd ascent.3rd ascent. A leisurely meandering day all over Loughrigg with rhw, between Algeria and Kenya! enjoying a good catch up after 4 years and, for Rob, hunting for a line of 10 ancient benchmarks 200yrs old and not even on the OS benchmark database of 70,000. Only found 2 with help of photos of previous loggers as 200 yrs of moss and weathering and had helped them merge into obscurity. Picked up Lanty Scar SE to P20 for me and a host of unlisted minor bumps and repeat P30s.Much dead bracken and bogs encountered. Met Aussie couple -intrigued as to our exploration for benchmarks - they were doing Europe but sensibly soon to return home for the Oz summer.Chris Pearson26/11/2023
