Train to Kirkby - walked 5 tops including this one and then to Dalton for bus. Walked south down road to reach Walthwaite Hill after High Moor and then easy up from west | trimarc2 | 07/01/2022 |
yet another domed sheep pasture with no views in rain and fog. From Road to W. With Tony J, Graham & Richard. Feeling wet. Onto High Haume and from High Moor. | Denise | 30/12/2021 |
From road to NW via field track in mist. Levelish sheep pasture with sheep. Rain and a light wind. | RichardM | 30/12/2021 |
Easy walk from Gate to N. Field heavily covered in 90cm strands of gosamer. Boots turned white on descent. Great views. | GordonAdshead | 13/11/2021 |
Easy off-road parking in the quarry entrance. The entrance gate is locked but, if you climb the fence alongside, there is a feint track leading up to the field boundary. Negotiate an awkward fence but then you are in the summit field. More hidden ascent than direct from the road. | moorsman | 13/05/2021 |
Parked by track to NW. Easy route to summit | conanharrod | 26/02/2021 |
Parked on col of road to North West and short walk up via two gates. Easy access. | nickywood1 | 23/09/2019 |

10:30, overcast, no wind, straightforward from north. | Wycombe Wanderer | 20/01/2019 |

12th and final tump of 33.6km circular route from Ulverston, climbing Flan Hill, Town End Bank, The Alps, High Pastures, Lad's Head, Lowick Beacon, Kirkby Moor, Crag Height, Shooting House Hill, High Moor and Bank House Moor, down to follow footpath on Eastern side of Harlock reservoir then gate to track to minor lane, taking track S,SE veering off for summit, recording 238m @SD 25031 78306- this is the potential Eastern top that I got higher, having dropped down to the official summit close to the fence to the West. Descent Ene to beck issuing from Pennington Reservoir, crossing it via the slat of the sluice gate then footpaths and lanes back to Ulverston. What a day! | Dazingdale | 01/04/2018 |
